I thought this might go hand in hand with pacomartin's observations.

Here is the free offer Mrs Mosca and I received for March.

1) 4 free nights... any nights, including weekends.
2) $250 in free slot play ($200 for me, $50 for Mrs)
3) $90 in food ($75/$15) at any Caesar's casual dining
4) $40 gift card, good at Caesar's shops or The Pier
5) Complimentary access to "The Foundation Room" at House of Blues, whatever that is.
6) $65 at Qua Baths and Spa ($40/$25).

Figuring the room cost at $87 (from the website), this is one hell of an offer.

And yeah, we booked 2 nights for later in the month. We'll probably blow off the Foundation Room and Qua. Figure the offer is worth at least $550. When I made the reservation, we were offered a Premium room for $0.00, based on availability. And if I decide to get a massage, or whatever, it will go up $65 (I won't get a massage.)

House of Blues is a restaurant / entertainment company started by Dan Aykroyd. The Foundation Room is a VIP area of the House Of Blues.

There is an association / partnership between House of Blues and Harrah's that resulted in the House of Blues casino, restaurant, nightclub and Foundation Room - but they are at Showboat.

Incredible offer! Do you mind telling the group what you've played there in the past to warrant such largesse?

My wife plays slots, she usually takes between $300 and $500 for a trip, and plays quarter slots, sometimes dollar. I have a stop-loss of $500 a session, with a session being an afternoon or evening; for this trip, which will be 3 sessions, I'm hoping to take $1500. When I play slots I play the $1 machines; when I play tables I play green chips, except for craps where I play the cheapest pass/don't pass and max out the odds (but I'm thinking of changing that based on tuttigym's math). I used to play 3 Card poker, but when they changed the flush payout from 4 to 3 I moved over to 4 card; I have to say it, I love the volatility, the chance to hit big. It's what pumps my blood about gambling, it's why I do it. I don't play blackjack because drugs have fogged my mind so badly that I can't remember the strategy tables the people are so unfriendly, generally speaking; too much criticism for no reason. You want to play my cards, pay me.

Sometimes I lose my $500 really quickly this way, like in the first 45 minutes; $500 is not really enough for $25 bets. But frequently I get up a few hundred and cruise until supper, then have a cushion for the second session.

We used to go to AC once a month, and we played a lot at Caesar's because Mrs Mosca has a couple slots she can sit at all day, and I became friendly with a couple dealers and pit bosses (Ray, Jennifer, I know you're not reading this, but HELLO!) who made the experience fun and who would sometimes give me an extra comp. Now I have a daughter in a ridiculously expensive university, and I'm in a field that is directly tied to the vagaries of the economy and I'm 100% commissioned, so we don't gamble that much, that often, any more. We hit the local slot parlor about 4 times a year, with maybe $200/$300 in our pockets.

Read it again. That's not how he's gonna split the free play. That's how it was awarded.

Obviously, he's at least four times as valuable to Caesar's than his wife.

Yeah, what DJTB said; I got 2 $100 slot tickets, she got 1 $50 ticket.

Actually, too, we got 6 nights total; I got 4, she got 2. But since I don't want to blow vaca time for AC, we're just using 2 nights and working a mini trip around normal days off.
