In Nevada to get my MMJ recommendation I filled out a web form, selected "pain" as my symptom, then visited the place where the only requirement was $60 and that my driver's license number matched what I typed online. No doctor seen. And not even a Nevada resident. 100% a joke of a process IMO.

Is MMJ still available in Nevada, now that recreational cannabis is legal?

I ask because in the Pac NW flashing your MMJ card at a licensed dispensary relieves you from having to pay a chunk of the tax.

Everything in life is a scam. It's a bigger scam marihuana was ever illegal, being a plant that doesn't hurt anyone and was so useful as hemp.

I went with a couple guys to get their MMJ card in Washington many years ago. They got the address from an ad in the back pages of Seattle's subversive weekly newspaper "The Stranger". The waiting room was filled with stoners each paying $150 to see the doctor to get a card. Each filled out forms. Doctor brings them in, spends 30 seconds asking questions and gives them their cards. Do the maths. It's a strip center with a has-been "doctor" who takes in $150 per person, prolly sees 50-60 people per hour, all day every weekday, for months till recreational weed was passed in July 2014. Not a bad income.

For the record, my friends maladies were irritable bowel syndrome for one guy, and bad knees for the other guy. I wonder if that doctor ever turned anyone down. Hangnail? Here's a card, that'll be $150.

There were lots of doctors advertising in that paper. Means nothing now that it's legal.

So you're saying I need to hit up Dr. Reefer (M.D) before buying weed for my back or shoulder or dementia?

right now if i want to feel good i'd rather have a couple of drinks. i did so much weed when i was much younger that it lost its appeal for me. like that old blues song, "the thrill is gone." too many stoners were acting like it was nirvana or the holy grail and it wasn't at least for me. of course, it's easy to drink too much too. but that's never been a problem for me. although, i have to admit weed worked as an aphrodisiac for me. that was very nice.

I don't think it's a coincidence they just legalized marijuana and a number of his posts have gotten significantly longer.

Coincidence or not? You decide.

I take weed with me on every flight to Vegas.

Stoners have been doing this for decades including myself. Legalization wont change much in Vegas. Stoners will stil get stoned as they have for decades in Vegas. Only diff is that now Stoners in Vegas will be getting stoned on the local product
