Guess what? Zima is making a comeback!
For those of you who were not of drinking age in the 90's, Zima was a "clear malt beverage" marketed as an alternative to beer, but most people I knew put it in the "wine cooler" category.
So, poll question is did/will you drink Zima?
Personally, I liked Zima as mixer with gin & lime.

I never thought of it as a mixer, maybe it would be okay with gin.
For those of you guys that don't know, Zima is basically Sprite with an eyedropper full of alcohol in it. You pretty much can't taste the alcohol at all, I found it to be a weak drink when I was a teenager.
Although, if any of you have not really drank much in your lives, I'd be careful with it because at around 5% ABV and with such a weak taste it could quickly sneak up on a person who only rarely drinks. It tastes weak, but in terms of alcohol content, it's about where some beers are.

Zima is way too sweet.
Truly Spiked and Sparkling is where it's at. Same 5% ABV and tastes pretty much like flavored seltzer.

I tried it once, found the taste kind of chalk like. Maybe flat soda with a hint of turpentine.
No, I won't be trying it again.
Now if only Bartles and James makes a comeback.

The big beer companies (AB-InBev & Miller) are so lost in today's market they are just throwing stuff against the wall. Core domestics are losing market share year after year to craft and when they try to match the craft brands, they lose. Buying up craft brewers has only cause many drinkers to abandon those brands, see Goose Island, Breckinridge and others. Now small local breweries are the hot item in the craft market. The malt category, which Zima falls into has a very fickle customer base who is not loyal. Hard sodas like Henry's & Not your Fathers had a short run and are dying on the shelves now. Mike's Hard Lemonade is the only consistent long term winner in the segment.
Look for Zima to have a brief initial buzz and then be gone just as quickly. Which is exactly what they are expecting.

Heck, I'd put my money on Russian Kvass originally made from aged Russian "black bread" (rye). Pleasant carbonated beverage marketed as a 'tonic' and not even considered alcoholic in Europe. It will knock you for a loop though.
All these craft beer companies seem to make the same product but use different fancy names and different adjectives.

Exactly. Unless you're trying to get in a 14 year old girl's pants circa 1985, don't bother.
