Canada seems like they have rights we don't have because our courts have to check with the banks first.

I see this slowly happening in more and more places. I don't see streetwalkers being legal, but Amsterdam may have the right idea. Keep it in one place and keep it safe for girl and Johnny alike.

It might just be possible that the Chief Justice being a woman was a factor here.

Our world revolves around the fact that we can sell our labor, and why shouldn't a woman be able to sell her herself? There is no reason for them to do it illegally, they should have a clean work place just like everybody else expects to have when they go to work!

Prostitution is the oldest occupation there is, and we treat it as a criminal endeavor, we arrest the woman that are doing the selling and the men that are doing the buying! The next time your in Las Vegas just hang out in the airport on a on a Sunday night to see all the hookers catching flight to LA after making more money then most woman will make in a few months.

Then you can always take a tour of Sheri's Ranch in Pahrump, that is 60 miles from Vegas, to see how they run a legal brothel here in Nevada. We end up taking friends over there that have never seen a brothel, and they used to have a car show there every year, that we would go to, but unfortunately a new manager put a stop to the car show!

Some of the woman there are housewives, teachers, doctors, and anything else that want to supplement their income! My wife and I was standing out front talking to a good friend of ours after the car show was over with one year, and a guy comes out and gets in his car with California plates on it. The two woman say something about him probably going back to his wife and children in California, well we say our good by's and hop in our Corvette to head back to Vegas, and I pop the question to my wife, would you rather that guy spend his money in a brothel like this if you were his wife or have a affair, or just use a street hooker, well guys that was the wrong question to ask!

I still tell the story to anybody that ask about the sex trade here in Nevada, and get the same dirty looks from my wife, and we still have a good laugh over that question!

The only thing I can say about Canada is at last there is someone with commonsense! If your here in Vegas and find extra time on your hands, most wives don't mind if you take the tour, just don't ask if you can touch!

Prostitution itself has been legal for a while in Canada. That is, you could trade sex for money under specific consensual circumstances. The ruling struck down many laws associated with prostitution, such as running a brothel, soliciting on the street, and 'living off of the avails of prostitution', which is what pimps do. So pimping was illegal, but that law was struck down.

And technically the govt has a year to fix it, so the laws are still in place for a year.
