I hope the person that he fell on is not seriously injured. How can people be so stupid. If he was going to slide down a railing wouldn't you at least do it from an inside rail. He should be banned from life.

Just another Sunday in Buffalo.

Fans here are all mentally deficient (SOOPOO is the only exception I know of, and I know a lot). I wouldn't feel bad for the guy he fell on either; 2:1 the injured fan was prevented from doing something equally stupid later that same day. I'm prepared to say the injured fan totally deserved it lol.

Sabres' fans are a little better; I only get periodical urges to headbutt one of them. But Bills fans are off the charts. I can't wait until they're sold off to LA or Toronto.

Edit: Oh, and he did get banned for life.

he can be charged with reckless endangerment?

that would be manslaughter if the other guy died

It appears the faller will be eventually charged with something. When I do go I sit in a section with pretty much the same season ticket holders, so the drunken behavior is far less than in the single game seats upper deck area where this happened. That being said, I always find it amazing how much people can drink during a 3 hour game!
One particular incident I saw was quite amazing. The Bills were playing the raiders a few years ago. My younger son was with me, and he was wearing a back brace because of an injury a few months earlier. The guy sittting two seats away from him was a big burly guy wearing a Raiders jersey, who seemed like a nice enough fellow. We chatted a bit about his team, being in Buffalo, etc... Sometime in the first half he started getting into it verbally with one of the regular season ticket holders sitting directly in front of him. Then the guy in front stood up and pointed his finger or something, and during a timeout they grabbed each other, almost pro-wrestling style, and exchanged a flurry of punches to each other's faces. Left hands holding the other guys shirt, right hands bombing away. I switched seats with my son to move him a seat farther away, and then the teams lined up for the next play out of the time out. Someone basically said something like 'hey, the game is about to restart', and the two guys both just stopped pounding each other, sat down, and started watching the game AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! About 15 minutes later security came and escorted the regular season ticket holder out, but not the Raiders fan! Midway through the 3rd quarter they came and got the Raiders fan, too.

"Reckless endangerment: A crime consisting of acts that create a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person."

"Endangerment: An act or an instance of putting someone or something in danger or exposure to peril or harm"

Yeah, I'd say so.

Add in at least two counts of Criminal Stupidity (one for the slide, the other for being a Buffalo fan).

As of yet, I've not heard a peep about charges, other than the guy was trespassed for life.

So he drunkenly tried to take an express route?

But sliding over something that suddenly topples you... that can happen.... and falling on top of someone can be bad, as many secretaries found out when they never returned from lunch the day the market crashed.

My guess is that the drinking starts well before kickoff :p

Yep. And alcohol sales at Bills games end at the end of halftime.

Glad the idiot got banned for life. Probably some type of endangerment charge is warranted too.

Yes, I almost forgot how Bills fans behave. When I lived in WNY things got really bad, low point was a couple going at it in the stands, even players were looking at it. Part of the problem was the attendance was so low that with all the open seats they were able to do it, probably so loaded they thought they were in Denver and joining the Mile High Club.

I was there with friends and I had to go with by buddy's wife while she smoked. Saw NO LINE at the beer concession at the start of halftime, could not believe my luck. She was on such a nicotine fit I nearly had to drag her to the line, after which I had to explain the beer sale system there that the concession closes even if you are in line at end of half time, two beers per person, and it I came back with no beers I would be forced to walk back to Clarence after the game.

Strangely, never once saw a fight between Steeler and Bills fans, in fact every Steeler fan was with a Bills fan, almost as if you needed one to vouch for you to get inside the stadium.

woman jumped from the third level deck of the Oakland Raiders' home stadium on Sunday, injuring herself and a man who pleaded with her not to jump and tried to catch her, authorities said.

The woman, who was not identified, plunged about 45 feet shortly after the Raiders lost 23-19 to the Tennessee Titans in the final seconds of the game, O.co Coliseum officials said in a statement.

A good Samaritan who tried to break her fall was injured in the process, the statement said.

I have to admit, I'd think twice before trying to catch a full grown person falling 45 feet. I know people have caught babies or small children from windows a couple floors up. Maybe the guy had a couple beers in him, and thought he could do it.
There's no secret. Just know what you're talking about before you open your mouth.

As a former Bills Season Ticket holder and long time fan, I don't see anything different in Buffalo than I do at road games I have went to. I was shoved down steps in Pittsburg for wearing a Bills Jersey and spit on in Tampa. It happens everywhere when people get drunk. No excuses, but singling out Buffalo is just wrong.

But one of the worst things I observed was a drunk turning around and pissing right into the empty seats behind him. Buy hey, it happens everywhere, right?

I have only been to about 5-10 NFL games, most at Rich/Bills/Wilson Stadium. I think what happened was a viscous circle. With such a big stadium season ticket base is lower, in fact during the late 1990s/early 2000s the Bills had by far the lowest season ticket base. Single game attendees behave worse than season ticket holders. As behavior got bad, fewer people wanted to come. With a bad team the fans misbehave more. About 199/2000 Ralph Wilson realized he had a major problem and it was getting worse. I still remember a game after the crackdown started, security in very bright yellow-green outfits. Management wanted the feel of security. Still was some misbehavior but they were reeling it in.
