Jimeenez, PG! First of all, thanks for finding this omission and letting me know about it. (Fixed, now.) Second, it strikes me that it must have taken a significant effort on your part to find this -- does this mean that your life in this age of the pandemic is really that boring? I am rather confident that I would never have discovered this without your search, so my "Thanks!" is quite genuine.

Third, it is plausible to me that I might actually have an excuse for that oversight. I indexed the chip that smoothgrh posted earlier that day (at 2 a.m. EST), but missed yours. Why would that be?

Well it turns out that I had a computer disaster that (I think) arose on 12/1/21 that has caused me extended grief and distraction since then and I am still working to get straightened out. That day (at least some day in very early December) I got a pop-up notice from Apple saying that a new version of the Mac operating system was available and suggesting that I update from macOS 11.6.something to 12.0.1.

I did that, and immediately began experiencing agony. There were several things that would no longer function properly on my computer, and over the next two weeks I had multiple help cases created with Apple's Tech Support folks. In spite of their sincere efforts, the problems weren't fixed. I finally decided that even though I had been screen sharing with their reps, I might need to have support from someone who was right there with the computer and seeing what was going on.

I made an appointment with the "Genius Bar" at a local Apple Store, took my computer in, and wound up spending hours there. Eventually, when they couldn't figure out what was going on, they suggested I reinstall macOS 11.6 to see whether that fixed the problem. They had the old system instilled on a drive that they could hook up to my computer and do the re-install for me, so I said OK. Unfortunately, while the specific problems I had been fighting with seemed to be resolved, they did not tell me that in the process of going back to an older OS, a whole bunch of stuff would disappear from my computer: applications, folders of email archives, documents, etc.

I asked them whether I could restore that stuff from the Time Machine backups I had been saving on an external drive. They recommended against that, saying that if I restored stuff, I might accidentally restore whatever had been causing my problems. The remainder of December was a computer nightmare for me.

In early January, I got guidance from Apple Tech Support on updating once again to OS 12, which by then had been revised to version 12.1 That seemed to work fine, except for all of the missing information. Earlier this week, I started working with Tech Support again, trying to recover some very important stuff from my Time Machine drive, and I have made significant progress on that. I think I am still missing some stuff, but I think I will survive.

To answer your first point, have you forgotten that I’ve done this 2 previous times. I try and do it every 18-24 months but because of the pandemic there was less need.

Second, don’t you know to NEVER update Apple products????

Yes, I know you have done this before, and I do appreciate it. It just seems like a lot of work, and I am glad that someone other than me is willing to do it occasionally. And if I never updated Apple products, I would still be trying to use the Mac SE that I bought in 1987 to replace my IBM portable PC. I don’t think that would be feasible now, but periodic updates and upgrades have allowed me to stick with the Mac line for quite a few years. (Of course, perhaps I should admit that I am still using a MacBook Air from early 2015.)

Hello everyone. I'm filling in for a few days for PG then he will resume.

Country: Spain
City: Tarragona
Casino: Casino Tarragona

https://www.casinotarragona.com/en

I visited Spain last September but never got around to posting the chips. Better late than never I guess haha. I also visited Casino Barcelona this trip and played some UTH etable but for some reason didn't collect a chip. In order to gain entrance to all the casinos I visited I had to present my passport. I was then given a printed receipt. Doc described this in detail in a past thread (https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/off-topic/other-casinos/11934-barcelona-spain-casino-receipt/#post195333). After Barcelona I made my way down to Tarragona which was about 1 hour away by regional train. This casino had 1 UTH etable with 1 EUR min, 1 BJ etable, 8 poker tables, 1 roulette with tables on either side of the roulette wheel, with 5 EUR min on the numbers and 20 EUR min on the even money wagers (suerte sencilla) such as odd/even, red/black, high/low. My notes did not say what the min is for other outside bets like columns or dozens. The roulette is only open on Friday-Sunday. I played UTH here then went to the cage to buy this 1 EUR chip.

After traveling about 150 miles in a little over one hour by train from Tarragona, I arrived in Zaragoza. The alternative would have been a slow train or coach bus that would take about 3.5 hours. Thank heavens for high speed rail! Something that we don't have in the US. This was another small casino, with 3 BJ, 2 roulette at 2.5 EUR min, and 9 poker tables. There were also machines connected to the live roulette table which featured lower minimums of 0.5 to 1 EUR. I didn't spend much time here, only changed 20 EUR and put 17.5 for 1 spin and lost it all. At least Zaragoza was a decent sized city to spend 2 days wandering around sightseeing.

Casino Gran Vía

This casino is located near the metro station of the same name Gran Vía and the street it is on looks like a mini version of NYC 5th Avenue with many shops and famous brands. It has its etables all on the ground floor with 3 BJ tables at 2-500 EUR, 1 UTH at 2-50 EUR, 1 roulette with a live wheel (also etable with betting panels in front of each player). The 1st floor had 10 poker tables, and 2nd floor has 5 roulette tables at 5-100 EUR, 1 baccarat at 10-1000 EUR, 2 BJ at 10-1000 EUR with CSM, and 1 caribbean poker. The photo you see on their main page is the 2nd floor. It looks very classy and exclusive. I only played UTH and was able to get one on my second try with another cashier after the first one at a different window refused to.

Well, Konbu, not only did you provide us with a nice CCotD post and image, you also helped to correct an error in the thread index! When I added the Gran Via to the index, I discovered that I had indexed the Gran Casino de Barcelona out of alphabetical order (by more than a row) among the Europe entries and got that fixed. Thanks!

https://www.casinogranmadrid.com/colon

There's 2 casinos in Madrid with the same name, in Colón and Torrelodones. I visited Colón which is centrally located in Madrid, vs Torrelodones which is way out in the northwest of Madrid. They have 2 baccarat at 20-1000, 1 UTH etable at 1-50 EUR, 2 BJ at 10-1000 with CSM, 1 BJ etable at 5-500, 5 roulette at 5-100. Again, I wasn't really in the mood to play for any length of time and even if I was, the BJ tables were packed. Good thing I got a 5 EUR slot promo when I went into the casino so I considered that my bet at this casino. When I went to the cage to try to buy a chip the cashier refused until I explained that I wanted it as a souvenir. He then tried to sell me a 2.5 EUR one saying it's more colorful. I insisted on the 1 EUR chip and he finally changed it for me, but he found it very amusing that anyone would try to collect chips.

With this I'm finished and PG can continue posting. Thanks PG. And thanks to Doc as always for keeping the index up to date.

I indexed this post under the name "Casino Gran Madrid" rather than just "Gran Madrid", because that is the way I did it for a number of earlier Europe chip posts for which the chips specifically are labeled with an intro "Casino" followed by (mostly) the name of the city. No, it doesn't look as if I am being very consistent on this point. Does anyone want to take over management of the thread index?          ;-)

I have to say when I am on a roll I am pretty good at posting every day but I miss one day and next thing you know it's 24 days later...oops. Anyway....

Today's chip of the day is from Prime Social Club in Houston, Texas. Prime Social Club opened January 25, 2018. They have closed a few times now, the first time when they were raided and shut down by authorities but they opened again when all charges were dropped and then the second time when everything shut down for Corona. This was the nicest looking club I visited, it looked like a higher class steakhouse more so than a poker room. There was a beautiful bar between the front door and the poker room which makes me believe that this was in fact a nice restaurant before it was a poker club. I played for a few hours and played some very big pots but ended up around even. When I went to cash out around $1700 in chips the guy in the cage said he could only give me $500 in $100 bills because he had to keep them for all the players. I informed him that I bought in with 17 $100 bills and I would like them back, he fought that and only cashed me out in large bills when I said fine call your boss. In texas a lot of people buy in with smaller bills so when I was a winner I would happily take large amounts of 20's but I always made sure to get my 100's back that I bought in with.

The chip is white with 3 blue/black/blue edge inserts and the suits in black around the chip. The centre inlay white with a slightly darker off white ring around the inlay. The club name appears in that ring twice in black. The middle of the inlay has the denom in black over top of a sand coloured "PS" for Prime Social.

Today's chip of the day is from River Poker Club in Spring, Texas. I stopped in here around 8 pm one night and found a few people chatting outside including the owner, they asked if I was interested in playing, I said yes, and the owner said he was going to start up a game again soon. Their game had died a few hours earlier when too many players left, this is common due to the oversaturated market of poker rooms in Houston. The club was small but one of the nicer rooms, the owner waived the daily fee for my first time. The game started shortly after, and I played until around midnight. One of the players was actually my dealer from Texas Card House earlier that day. The room had a snacks/drink area that was self-serve or a girl would bring it to you.

The chip is grey with 3 large white edge inserts and 3 small triangle black edge inserts. The centre inlay is white/grey/blue in layers with suits all around the blue portion. The denom is inside of a black spade and cash is on the bottom of the inlay. The poker room name is in the middle in black with the logo. The logo is an ode to Barry Greenstein's book Ace on the River which also uses the ace of spades on the cover of the book. This is why the logo is an ace of spades on water, most people even poker players wouldn't get this subtle reference. I have read Greenstein's book so the reference hit home with me.

Well, PG, first comment is "Thanks for getting the show back on the road again!"

Second comment is that you seem to have double posted that one. I linked the first post in the thread index, so if you take some kind of corrective action, please do it with the second post.

Today’s chip of the day is from Texas Card House in Spring, Texas. This was the first poker room that I stopped in in the Houston area as it is just north of the city. I was surprised to find an almost dead poker room after the TCH in Dallas had 15+ tables running when I was there. I had to wait for about 30 minutes to get a seat in the one game that was running. The game was mediocre so I just stayed long enough to collect a chip and use up the time that I bought. This chip is very similar to the one I will eventually post from Austin.

The chip is white with 4 sets of black/yellow/red edge inserts and a maze like pattern around the edge of the chip. The centre inlay is white with 4 circle/imprints around the poker room name and logo that are in black and the denom in red.

A couple casino updates, neither of which qualify for the Chip of the Day index.

The first: Stars Casino in Tracy, California.

PokerGrinder mentioned on his original post that this casino was using old Comstock chips for their $1 denominations. When I asked the cashier if I could buy a chip for my collection, she asked if I wanted the new $1 chip or the old Comstock chip, so they still use those.

I had never been to Tracy, but GPS took me through there to avoid Highway 80 traffic on my way to Lake Tahoe. My son and I decided to stop for food, I saw the sign for Central Tracy, and so I decided to check out the area. At the exit, he picked Arby's from among the several fast food options, and I looked over and saw a huge sign for CASINO OPEN 24 HOURS. The walk from the Arby's parking lot to the Stars front door was about 20 yards, so I decided to collect a souvenir from my first Tracy visit. And I told my son that I eat at Arby's every 5 years hoping the food would be better. This time, my wish came true – their roast beef sandwich improved from lousy to a solid meh.

The second: Diamond's Casino in Reno, Nevada.

I took somewhat of a Las Vegas "dive casino" tour in 2019, so I'd been thinking of taking such a tour in Reno. I had to get a headlamp replaced, and I'd seen the Ramada Hotel listed in Casinocity, so stopped by to see what this place's casino was like. I should have read rdw4potus's original post first because the clientele was, shall we say, getting through life. The casino's two table games were covered up, but there was a guy working in that area as if he was supervising non-existent games. I went to the cashier to ask if I could buy a casino chip. She asked what kind, and I noticed stacks and stacks of chips in the back of the cashier cage — even though there were no table games to be played. They had only slot tokens for their $1 denomination, but I got it, and also grabbed a coin bucket (Diamond's still has coin-operated VP machines). I asked the guy if he thought they'd be bringing back table games in the foreseeable future, and he just shook his head.

Well, it seems that once again we are on the verge of a serious problem with the CCotD thread index. This morning, I updated the index (Part 3) to include PG's most recent additions, i.e., two chips from Texas. When I attempted to save that update, I received a notice that the post was too long. That is precisely the thing that led us to our current state of having an index split into three parts.

For the moment, I dealt with the matter by moving the two-casino (currently) state of Oregon from the beginning of "Thread Index - Part 3" to the end of "Thread Index - Part 2". That works (I think) for today, but as additional chips are added to categories in Part 3 (e.g., more Texas chips presented by PG), more states would need to be relocated from Part 3 to Part 2, and it would not take very much of that before I get a notice that the post with Part 2 is too long to be saved.

Unless the entire forum is modified to allow longer posts (not likely at all), then we will need a "Thread Index - Part 4" and a convenient place to save that without distorting the whole concept of an index at the beginning of the thread. I have an idea for one possible version of that, but previously when adding additional sections of the index, I have encountered problems with the index links not working properly.

I am open to suggestions, particularly suggestions that won't just delay the crisis by a few weeks or months.

In case I didn’t express myself properly, I am not trying to impede the progress of the thread. There is just a chance that the index might stumble a bit. If I don’t rather quickly find and implement a solution, then we can still enjoy the chip images and discussions. Eventually, there will be a solution, even if it is rather clumsy, and I anticipate getting all of the chips indexed in spite of delays.

Doc, maybe make a new post, move all non North America chips in it, and link to it (with like 48pt font ) at the end of your existing index.

Konbu, I think that would be one option for a Part 4 index. And if I do create a separate Part 4 of any kind, it might have to be located farther down the thread than post #4. For now, I am waiting to see what kind of response is generated from the request/suggestion that PokerGrinder initiated. I have an idea or two about how I would like the solution to look, but (since I don't really know how the forum structure really works) I don't know how practical they might be.

Here's a thought. Perhaps start another thread entitled "Casino Chip of the Day Index.". Create 10 or 20 placeholder entries. Copy the existing index into these posts and replace the existing index posts with links pointing to the new thread. Lots of room for future expansion.

At the beginning of that thread, ask that nobody except Doc post there, though rogue posters would be posting after the index so no harm done.

I know it’s an excuse but this month has been a shit storm. I tried moving into a new apartment 3 weeks ago, Place was destroyed from water damage, I told them I wouldn’t accept it. After a week of no communication they finally got ahold of me to tell me they had nothing to tell me. A week later they had a different unit ready to go but I had been told they would cover hotel bills but had nothing in writing. I told them to cover it or I’d sue, finally they said they would cover 1/3 and said no I’m suing if you don’t cover it all. Well they said no so yesterday I found a lawyer to sue them and turns out he has a 2bed/1bath for rent and I moved into it yesterday. Yesterday night I slept in the living room on my bed with no power or water cause I wasn’t able to get them turned on in time. Tonight I’m back in a hotel for 3 more nights cause neither can be turned on until Tuesday.

TLDR February was a shit show

Casino: Rounders

Today’s chip of the day is from Rounders Poker Room in Spring, Texas. I’m not 100% sure that my memories of this place are correct but this is my best guess based on being in this location for two hours a year ago. Based on google images I am pretty sure that this was one of the bigger poker rooms in the Houston area which makes it even more surprising that they have permanently closed.

The club was uneventful other than the very rude cashier who wouldn’t cash out my $300 in chips in 100’s even after I told her that I bought in with 100’s. I’ve mentioned this before that the cashiers at quite a few of these poker rooms will try and give you smaller bills until you tell them how many 100’s you bought in for. This was one of only two places where I had to fight to get my 100’s back. The girl paid me and refused to give me big bills, I told her I wanted 100’s, she said no, I said I bought in with them and wanted them back to which she again rudely said no. I said fine then I will go get the manager and he will tell you to give me my 100’s back (yes I realize this makes me the poker room Karen) and she finally changed the $300 back into 100’s and tossed it at me. I told her that was really professional and mentioned the interaction to the poker manager on my way out. When there are 20 poker rooms in the city to choose from customer service has to be better than this.

The chip is white with 8 small red edge inserts and 2 large yellow inserts. The centre inlay has 2 white circles and an inner yellow circle. The poker room name is between the middle and middle inner circles and also overlapping the two circles on top of a red spade. The denom is in the inner circle in yellow. The spade logo which I think is the Great Canadian Gaming logo is etched 3 (possible a 4th under the word poker in the second circle. The spade is also in black in the inner circle.

Doc not sure what you’ve decided to do with the index but just a heads up there will be another Rounders poker room that has nothing to do with this one.

Haven't really made a decision on the index. For that matter, the thread is about due for my (almost) annual summary post, and I haven't even started planning for that. My current motivation level seems to be abysmal. I did go ahead and label this Rounders chip as coming from Spring.

Good news, I’m collecting a bunch of new chips this week. Bad news, I will post them by 2072.

As I alluded to recently, I have for the past few years attempted to make an annual post (approximately) on the anniversary date of this thread's origination to comment on whether it is still alive and whether it is really active. I reside in the Eastern time zone of the U.S., and post #1 of the thread was made about a half hour after midnight on 3/16/2012, though those of you whose thread views are listed in other time zones may see it as having been made on 3/15. In any case, the thread has now been around for ten years and about 13 hours.

In the past year, the number of new Casino Chip of the Day entries and total posts have been substantially higher than either of the previous two years. I consider that as evidence that this thread and the member interest in the topic are still quite alive. For this we can thank our current most-prolific collector/contributor, even though his latest post (right above here) suggests that we might have to wait half a century to see the chips he is collecting this week. Hopefully not.

More than a year ago, I had discovered that a number of the CCotD image posts had either vanished or become obscured due to changes in the rules at the PhotoBucket web site, where they had started to require a fee payment for storage of images. That problem has only been slightly resolved, with a few of the missing images having been restored. Some of the collectors whose images have vanished are no longer participants in this forum and have not even read the PMs that I sent advising them of the issue. Perhaps some day there will be a resolution.

The more recent challenge I have encountered is maintaining the thread index within the constraints of the forum design. For any of you who have never looked back to the beginnings, I encourage you to take a gander at thread page #1, where that index appears. I am still pondering potential solutions to the expanding index with size-limited posts.

For your amusement, below is an updated table of statistics about the thread as of the anniversary dates the past half-dozen years, i.e., 60% of the life of the thread to date. While I did not keep records of such stats in the early years, if you do the calculations, I think you will find that over those prior four years we averaged 229 CCotD images posted each year. Of course, the more casinos that we cover in the thread, the more challenging it becomes to find new ones to present.

92 chips isn’t too bad to be honest, that’s 25.2% of the days or 1.75 new chips per week. I still have 27 to post from last year… oops and I think I’ve collected 11 new ones this year with a bunch more being collected this next week as I travel around a bit. I think I’ll be grabbing about 19 new chips over the next week so I’ll have 57 to post. If I get them all done by next March 😬 then we will have at least 57 next year.

Interesting situation. I’m at a poker club that keeps changing names due to problems with ownership. When I was here last year it was called 52 social and I collected a chip. They sold the club and changed the name to Johnny Chan’s 88 Social. Since then the new owners went bankrupt and sold to a new owner who changed the name again to 101 Poker Richmond not to be confused with the 101 Poker 20 minutes away from here. I am currently at the club under the 3rd name but they are still using the 2nd name’s chips. This place will be closed within 2 months imo and therefore I’ll never get back here to collect a chip with the new name. I am keeping a chip and hoping that somehow this 41 table poker room that only has one game running will still be open the next time that I am here but it is very unlikely. If next time I am here 101 is still in business I will replace my chip from today with the proper one but until then I will have a 88 Social chip as my 101 Poker chip.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Today’s chip of the day is from Cowboy’s Card Club in Austin, Texas. I visited this club in April, 2021 just as they were transitioning to Lucky’s Card Club. They were still using the same old chips and felts but the name outside had changed. A year later they are apparently still using the old chips which makes me wonder if they will ever bother to change the chips.

They had no game running but they were starting up a game shortly so I waited to play. They eventually got a game running and I played for 2 hours before racking up and heading to the next poker club. This was your standard small poker club that never seems to survive due to a lack of players. They had about 8-10 tables and most of them were going unused.

The chip is white with 4 blue/grey edge inserts. There are 8 what I think look like roses engraved around the chip. The centre inlay is made to look like wood with the poker club name, the denom and the 2 cowboy hats all in black.

Today’s chip of the day is from Monte Carlo Poker Social Club in Austin, Texas. This club wasn’t on my original list of clubs to visit when I went to Austin for the first time. I found it randomly as I was headed back to my hotel about half way through my 5 days there. I noticed it on google maps (where it only shows up around half the time) and decided to stop by on my way home to see if it was open. There was in fact one game running and so I signed up for their membership and played for 3 hours as the game got better as the hours went on. Around 3-4 am I was too tired to stay and cashed out to head back to the hotel.

The chip is a very cheap what I call Walmart style of chip but despite that I actually think they did very well with such a cheap chip. There is silver hot stamp (thanks Dieter) on the chip but since the chips seemed quite new they weren’t worn out yet. The chip is grey with the 4 suits twice in white. The centre inlay has the silver hot stamp (thanks Dieter) of the poker club name, denom and 5 stars above that. The other side of the chip has the state of Texas with the denom inside it.

Today’s chip of the day is from the Lodge Poker Club in Austin, Texas. I visited this club last year and then visited it again in its new location recently. A few months back 3 poker players bought a majority stake of the club. Those players Doug Polk, Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen have been doing an amazing job of promoting the club and trying to make it bigger by streaming big cash games that they take turns playing in. It seems like everyone is liking the changes at the Lodge. I played there twice this year in the new location which is next door to the old spot. I played in a great 2/5/10/20 NL cash game but unfortunately lost about $3800 which honestly isn’t much for the game.

The chip is light blue with dark blue shapes that look like they are coming out of the centre inlay. The club name shows up 4 times around the edge of the chip with a poker chip in place of the “O” in lodge. The centre inlay is black with a dark blue border. The denom is white on the black centre.

Something about the shape of that club irritates my delicate sensibilities. It looks like hot stamp (foil gets melted/welded into the plastic chip), not screen printing (where a wet ink is applied through a mask/screen) to me.

Sounds like you picked a good time to collect through Texas. I keep hearing reports that social clubs are having their games shut down.
May the cards fall in your favor.

Seems I am going to have to start working on getting my motivation built up for finding a proper solution to the thread index problem. This morning I added PG's posting of the Lodge chip to the index, and adding that one line to the post made it too long to meet the forum restrictions. My temporary fix was to move the Pennsylvania category from the beginning of Part 3 of the index to the end of Part 2. That worked for now, but it just delays the inevitable crisis. (grumble, grumble, grumble)

And here I was thinking that I really should get started on organizing my income tax return.

I don’t remember who suggested it but I think creating a new thread with the index and linking it to this thread would be an easy fix. The mods would just have to give you editing power in that thread like you have here.

Today’s chip of the day is from Palms Social Club in Austin, Texas. Palms was a small poker room in a strip mall with 4 tables in the main area and one table in the back area for the higher limit private games. If you notice I used past tense when describing this club as it closed last December and reopened on March 1st with new owners and a new name. I visited this new club recently and I will eventually post the chip from it. As I’ve mentioned poker clubs tend to close or change name/owners quite often due to the market being over saturated. For some reason there are always new people that think they can make money in the current market.

The chip is grey with 3 grey/blue/grey edge inserts. The centre inlay is yellow with a palm tree on it. The club name is blue with palm trees in the “P” and the “A”, the denom is red.

Today’s chip of the day is from Shuffle 512 in Austin, Texas. I actually had to go to this club twice to collect a chip as the first time I stopped in around 2 pm they were running their big Saturday tournament and there wasn’t a single cash game running. They told me to come back that night and they would have games going. I went to another club to play some poker before returning that night to play and collect a chip from them. I played for two hours with a fun group of players. The game honesty wasn’t great but the group was having fun so it was all good. There is a Shuffle branded poker room that opened recently in Dallas called Shuffle 214 but sadly no game was running when I went last week.

The chip is baby blue with 3 long white rectangles around the edge of the chip. The club name is black across the middle of the chip with 512 vertically on the right side of the chip. 512 is the area code for Austin. I’m not sure why the “F’s” are facing each other, that’s just how their logo is. There is a slightly rounded Diamond above the club name and the denom is in a white blob underneath. The “FF” appears again at the bottom of the chip.

Today’s chip of the day is from the San Antonio Poker Palace in you guessed it, San Antonio, Texas. SAPP opened on January 7, 2021 and that is all I know about the place because I don’t remember being there. The google images don’t ring a bell at all so other than the chip I have nothing to share sadly.

The chip is one of my favourites from Texas which is funny since I have no memory of the place. The chip is blue and if you zoom in you can see that it is textured. The design around the edge of the chip is yellow as is the circle around the centre inlay. The centre inlay is black and yellow with the club logo, name and the denom.

I have indexed this chip just as you listed it: "Poker Palace". If there are other upcoming Texas chips with this same name, I can do as I have for other establishments and add the location in parentheses on a second line, or I could show this particular place as having a two-line name. I doubt I could put that full name on one line without encountering problems with the table.

So ... if a player at this place makes a stupid play, loses his entire stack, and stumbles away from the table in shame, do the others snicker and refer to him as a sapp? (Guess you probably don't remember.)

PokerGrinder,

I would suggest that the interlaced F's are supposed to represent interlaced cards being shuffled.

By the way, thanks again for your contributions to this thread... I always enjoy reading your vignettes!
