Going to Laughlin for the weekend, anyone know where the best place to play craps is now? Most posts that I found are outdated. By best I mean place offering anything above 3x4x5x odds available at Harrahs?

+1. Don't play in Laughlin.

We will be in Vegas between Christmas and New Years. Bus trip to Laughlin is included in the package from Southwest Air. Care to expand on why not to play in Laughlin? Might not bother if it really sucks that bad. Thanks!

Depends on whether or not you want to play alone. If you're looking for tables full of people playing the game, you're best bet is going to be the Riverside. I'd rate Harrah's and Golden Nugget as following those two, in what order depending on what's going on. That being said, at any of those casinos, don't be surprised to find that there is only one active table. At the rest of the casinos, don't be surprised to find that the one and only table is devoid of any players, at any time of day or night. So that's great if you just want to play alone.

Riverside dealers will hustle for tips, which can be annoying, so just know what you're doing. They also have the most experienced craps dealers, so nothing you throw at them will take them by surprise. All that being said, if you do tip, they tend to be the most acknowledging and appreciative of the tips.

Was in Las Vegas for a week for the first time in middle of August. Drove to Laughlin to play for a day. Place kind of reminds me of the George Clooney grade B potboiler "From Dusk Till Dawn" Kind of a preview of hell.
Gambling is a metaphor for life. Hang around long enough and it's all gone.
