AGS, one of the major game distributors, has announced that they have filed some preliminary paperwork to get permission to go public - to sell stock in their company. They license casino table games and slots to brick and mortar casinos as well as on-line.

I thought that my knowledge of the gambling business would be useful to evaluate this potential IPO., but I'm finding its a challenge.

According to the AGS web-site, six of their top table game products, are:

Dex S (proprietary card shuffler)
Bonus Spin (Bonus Bet)
Mega Blackjack (Blackjack game variant)
Toss One 21 (Blackjack game variant)
Cali Lowball (Table game -poker derivative)
Chase the Flush ((Table game -poker derivative)

I know of a web-site that surveys games at on-line casinos. But is there any way to use on-line resources to evaluate the number of placements of these games and products in brick and mortar U.S. casinos? I've heard of a couple of these games but my impression is that they are at the "trial placement" stage in brick and mortar casinos - where almost any new game is kind of a long shot. Can anyone help with this?

Criss Cross Poker is theirs but not on the list? That game gets a LOT of discussion at my pub poker league games.

Okay, thanks, I'll add that to the list. It has a large House Edge, reportedly about 4.3%, so I am surprised it is popular.

Specific Questions on table games:
Mega Blackjack (Blackjack game variant) - Was on a field trial at the Monte carlo starting in February. Does anyone know if it is still there? Is it placed in casinos outside of Nevada?

Cali Lowball (Table game -poker derivative): I have seen this game before, but not recently. Does anyone know about placements?

Chase the Flush ((Table game -poker derivative): I saw this in Harrahs Cherokee last week -and they don't offer many new games. I get the impression it is placed in at least 3 or 4 Vegas casinos. Can anyone tell me anything more specific, is it doing well?

Re: Chase The Flush.

A couple years ago, AGS and Galaxy Gaming were both distributing High Card Flush. Same game, same name, even the same logo.

Apparently there was some issue / dispute where the inventor allegedly offered (sold?) the game to both companies. Lawsuits followed, Galaxy won and is now the sole distributor of High Card Flush.

Having lost High Card Flush, AGS came out with Chase The Flush, their version with slightly different rules.

That's the brief background. I have no idea if it's doing well or not.

It is getting an intro, to the best of my knowledge, at a casino in the mid-west. I will fly out to see it as the co-designer.
