Kinda makes me think of all the righties who over the past few years have mockingly said:

"Why didn't Dems do x, y, and z when they had control of the House and Senate under Obama?!"

Same reason Repubs didn't repeal Obamacare today.

Some Repub Congressmen showed independent thinking, and decided the new Republican version of Obamacare was not done well. So they read it, understood it, and were willing to vote against it, despite a clear majority of republicans supporting it. That is what we pay our representatives to do, examine, analyze, think and vote. Not just follow what your leader tells you to do. How different from when the Dems voted as a blindfolded bloc to get Obamacare in. No reading of it. No true understanding of its flaws. Just vote for it, because Obama says so. Another reason I despise most Dem congressmen/senators.

Obamacare was subject to dozens of meetings, hundreds of hours of discussions, hearings were held with expert witnesses called, a coalition of medical people ,hospital's, the AARP and many others were consulted and their input considered., Even though they had the majority, the Democrats gave the Republicans 50-50 membership in the exploratory hearings.
To suggest people didn't know what they were voting for is simply untrue.

I see it as a great day. The Liberals own it and the GOP should stay far away and let it fail on its own. Why mess with something that almost everyone knows is dying and you had nothing to do with creating.

Such is the political climate we live in. The main goal is never to get anything done to help the people, but to make the other party look bad.

Ah, but where you're wrong is that they have the power to support it and won't... so it will be blood on their hands, not the Dems. The main reason it's failing is because changes needed to be made and the Rupublicans blocked every effort for the last 6 years.

The "lifeguard on duty" is the one you have to deal with. People in trouble will want help from the people who can do something whether it is to address rising rates or broken coverage.

And usually it is a good idea to deal fix something before it is a complete disaster unless you like to multiply your problems.

Assuming your prediction comes true.

Besides the Republicans already promised to "repeal and replace" and didn't. And that will be brought up repeatedly.
There's no secret. Just know what you're talking about before you open your mouth.

Republicans voted to repeal it countless times when their vote was meaningless. They whined that to replace it they needed to control Congress and the presidency. Now they do, and they still cant get it done. If Trump thinks he can now let it fail and blame others, he's got another thing coming.
Republican, and some Democrats voted for Trump because he promised to do away with it on Day One.
Regardless of who created it, it now belongs to Trump. Maybe he can seize Iraq's oil to pay for it. Or pad the bill he is going to present to Mexico a bit.

Oh I agree, they should have a simple repeal vote. If they had to balls to do it before, do what you ran on and do it again.

Of course it's all a game on both sides with the GOP expecting people to actually want to work and pay for Health Insurance and the liberals wanting a Government single payer system continuing to make people more dependent on them.

All politicians suck. Those who work hard and smart will always be fine and will overcome the garbage government throws in their way.
