As to your suggested casino hopping. Stay away from the Rhino and all other Gentlemen's clubs, stay away from those overpriced hotel nightclubs too. Always do any spa activities where you staying so that there is atleast a chance that you will be able to get them comped as you check out. Explore other casinos as you wish. The Venetian one of the top tier ones but avoid it if there is likely to be throngs and throngs of Trump viewers.

PS: If you've never done spa activities, learn spa ettiquette and above all, arrive early for your appointment but not ever late even by just one minute. Book your spa activities early in the day. bargains may be available then.

Your gambling budget ($50-100) is quite limited. It's totally understandable given that you're 21. Just realize that there's a pretty good chance that you might lose it all in a very short amount of time no matter what game you play and how you bet. Don't chase losses.

So, because I stuck up for a Newbie, I am accused of being her? WTF? I even gave a valid backing for sticking up for her(Legitimate Newbie on another website was automatically accused of being a sock puppet of a banned member. Newbie left the board permanently after being unfairly harrassed. Admin of that board later reversed the ban on the banned member, allowing the banned member to post again and it was found out that the legitimate Newbie was not the banned member's sock puppet, so they harrassed and ran off a legitimate Newbie for no good reason)

Feel free to ask your gambling/Vegas questions. We all hope you survived Mr. Stairmaster. Vegas offers gyms and exercise rooms but I think on your first visit to Vegas you will not have time for a gym. Discover the town, visit a variety of casinos and gamble. You can go to a gym when you get home. Also you can eat fast food when you get back home, so try to make Vegas a bit more exciting with your food and drink. (Go easy on that drink though).

Remember, if you lose / spend your money and need more, you can do what lots of young ladies do in Las Vegas, especially on the weekends: go "independent."

Okay lets get right down to it. I bought my flight ticket from Southwest. They have direct flights to Vegas baby. I am going to Las Vegas May 16. Coming home on May 19. The ticket price seemed pretty reasonable. Next is choice of hotel. Imma thinking I should stay at a downtown hotel since they are also very reasonable. I have some questions.

Is downtown really dumpy?
Will a young girl have fun there?
Is the pool scene any good?
Is it easy to go to the Vegas Strip from downtown?
Is downtown safe? I will have a girlfriend with me but I want to be able to walk around alone and explore too. Is that a bad idea?
My hotel budget will be about $200 total for 3 nights. I could possibly spend as much as $300 if I must to stay at a strip hotel. I don’t want to spend frivoloiusly but dont want my Vegas trip to be a nightmare either. Its just a place to sleep and shower right?

Hi 777. Yeah I know I saw your post about Donald Trump. I didnt respond because I don’t generally like to talk about anything political. Politics is sooooo boring. Also politics makes people argue. So politics is a combination of boring and arguing. I can think of things better for sure.

Thank you AGAIN FleaStiff. Im real and very honest. Maybe one day I will tell a little white lie but none so far. The doubters can keep doubting and cant break my spirit. My legs and butt are sore (back too) after Mr Stairmaster. Your post about massages got me thinking about how good that would feel right now. Would the massage person be a guy or a gal in Las Vegas? Do I get to pick? I dont know how it works. Am I naked or do I wear my bikini bottom? Oh well that is months away. Right now I think I need to have some wine and soak in the tub. 6. Stay at a cheap place: My first visit to Vegas I stayed at El Cortez, only slept and showered.

NO, not really but it sure ain't the luxurious opulence of the Strip.

Young girls can have fun anywhere, even on weird and over crowded Fremont Street Experience with winos.

Sure but pool parties in Vegas are not for swimming, so why waste your vacation time even if you get in free?

Yes, but its best to explore one area and get settled in it. Daytime travel preferred. Taxi or shuttle.

Yes it is very safe. Now about YOUR safety in downtown, that is a different matter.
You can't wander too far if you are in downtown. One casino there has alot of men who show up still wearing their 'scheduled for release' wristband from the house of detention. Casinos are safe. Streets are generally crowded and well lit, but bums and winos can lurk so do your walking where it is wise.

No, but there is more to gawk at on the Strip so why stay downtown on your FIRST trip to Vegas. Splurg!!

And take a few naps, massage your feet, regain your sobriety, rest after a buffet indulgence, etc.

If you choose a Strip hotel even a middle tier one, you MIGHT even get it comped at checkout, so that might help you but you can't really count on it in advance. Put the hotel on your credit card and once your arrive charge as much as possible to the ROOM, not your credit card. The hotel can't comp your meals unless you charge them to your room. Be sure to use up any points put on your player's club card because many places are 'use them or lose them' on points. You may get free room offers in the mail in a few months, but at 300 bankroll your sure won't be getting any offers of free airfare.

MASSAGE: A Chair Massage is by a roving person in the casino who gives massages to black jack players for twenty dollars or something. For this of course you are dressed since its usually done in the casino aisle.

A massage in the spa is of several types... read a few spa brochures before you leave.
Ask questions when you enter the spa. You can get discounts EARLY in the morning particularly if you are willing to accept a trainee. You and your girlfriend can often get massages on adjoining tables.
Read the spa ettiquette pages. Frankly, I'd do the spa routine on your second trip to Vegas not the first, but you are female and females like to be pampered.

Summary:
I'd recommend a mid tier casino on the STRIP. Do your walking and gawking on the strip and inside various strip casinos. VISIT the Venetian but its unlikely you would ever get comped there its mainly a high roller joint. They sell toothbrushes in their gift shop for EIGHT dollars.... get the idea? You don't want that stuff on your first trip.
IF you decide to stay downtown or explore downtown you should be relatively safe but there are more wierdos, winos and whackos downtown than on the strip.
REMEMBER... if you are in a casino and feel afraid for ANY reason, you may ask the nearest employee, no matter what theirjob, for a security escort. It is FREE to have a security escort, the employee will immediately contact security and a guard will show up very promptly. You can be escorted to your room or off the property or into a taxicab at your choice. NO CHARGE EVER. NONE. NONE. NOT EVER. Vegas does not like adverse headlines so they will escort you if you feel the least bit unsafe, even if its for something that they think is nonsensical.

I've made it this far without posting, but I really dont think I can click on this thread any longer.

The pools will be warm and active in mid-May. I would suggest you consider either Ballys or Flamingo or Quad/Linq for cheap mid-strip rooms. Downtown, check the D first, then maybe 4 Queens. Of those 5, Flamingo has the best pool. Bally has the best young crowd, but you can't afford the really good ones like Cosmo. Maybe Planet Hollywood will have a sale; if so, thats where you want. The other downtown hotels are probably ok, but I wouldn't recommend them for young girls.

If you think you'll play enough for the hotel to give you comps(and it doesn't take much) DO NOT book online with someone like Orbitz or kayak. Book directly with the hotel. The rate offer will be the same or better, but more importantly, they can't comp any room on a third-party sale.

If you're hot and in shape when you get there, you want to glitz it up and go to the Cosmopolitan just to walk around and be seen. Also Planet Hollywood across the street, my estimate for 2nd hottest women (and the men who chase them). Go with your girlfriend or you'll be mistaken for a working girl. Both have decent craps, since that's what you want to play. I doubt you'll have to buy a drink at either.

If you want to go lower key, Bally or Linq in that order, for young guys, probably with less resources. Palazzo sometimes has a young crowd. Maybe (maybe!) Palms or Rio, which are close to the strip but no longer that hot. But money's not everything. ...except in Vegas, where it is.

If you want older, semi hot rich, you want Cosmo (again), Bellagio, Venetian, Caesars, Wynn, Mirage, Planet Hollywood, probably in that order, roughly based on average net worth, age, percentage of family men trolling. Skip downtown. Maybe a few at Golden Nugget or the Plaza for nostalgia, but diminishing every year.

I don't see you caring about locals casinos or the best percentage gaming for this first trip. Just dive in and enjoy it. Use lyft to get around.
