You could get a job (write articles or do reviews). If you have a talent you could sell a service (fiver.com is a good place). You could sell/resell goods on ebay/craigslist (10 items a day at just a $1 net profit after all expenses is $3,640 a year). If you have an expertise, you can be an "expert" on websites that charge for answers (justanswer.com is one). You can advertise for a company in your area that pay commissions for business (Auto Glass companies pay well).

I've done every one of the above in the past and made money at all of them. Are you going to get rich on any of them? No. But $3,000 - $5,000 a year working in front of your computer for an hour or two a night isn't bad if you would just be sitting around watching tv anyway.

Do a Google Groups search on the phrase, "My name is Dave Rhodes."

Seriously, it's been such a long time since internet chain letters have been in vogue that most people forgot about, or have never even heard of, them. The only problem with a restart is, nobody uses Google Groups any more, and you can't really do it on Facebook without running the risk of being charged with a Terms & Conditions violation.

Then again, there does seem to be one "backdoor" way to make money on Facebook:
(a) Post an image with "Like and Share if you..." in it;
(b) Wait for your friends, and then their friends, and then their friends, to Like it;
(c) Sell the list of Likes to somebody who wants a Facebook list of addresses (e.g. for spamming purposes).

I would suggest tuning into "The Side Hustle" and "The Passive Income" podcasts. Both talk about people who do this. Biggest strategy seems to be build an email list and sell into it with legit products. For example, if you like fishing you base on that.

Most of the mainstream things have long since been staked out so you will have to find smaller and niche ones.

The guy who makes me the most jealous in this vein was somebody who realized he could manipulate Google to prominently feature a great assortment of businesses that were in fact otherwise unknown, small, mediocre, just-started or whatever, yet getting posted prominently. He got rich quickly doing this.

That was just brilliant; I don't know how he did it, it may have been as simple as realizing certain businesses were not well represented in early Google and he created them to fill the need. I assume this path to riches would be much harder to do today.

I saw the article, didn't really get to read it, and now can't find any info with a search. I think I saw it in the WSJ.

PS: in my own day, I realized the company I worked for wasn't using google properly. I tried to show them how people would typically start searching and how our competitors names came up and ours did not. You do have to pay Google to get featured, both as a top-highlighted thing but also to just come up high on the first page. Believe it or not my input was well received at one level, but nothing ever changed. This does show how not everybody 10 yrs or so ago "got it" ... what it is like today I don't know.

I love online money!!!!!!

In the past ten years i have dealt with almost all the possible ways to make money online...Forex, trading,
affiliate programs, betting... All of them have positive and negative sides. The main point is to create a
positive balance between these.I don’t believe in something extreme... The best profit is a ‘’stable’’ profit...
And i found this stable profit the past four months in this forum: www.saloonforum.com

Check the results of their competition and you will understand me!

Try it!!!

Strange that the new member (supposedly) looking for online income that has only posted about online income on a gambling website had his question answered perfectly by another new member who only posts in non gambling threads like "Is bigger better" and "What song are you listening to right now" and has posted a total of about 30 words in 9 total posts.

Very strange...

Thought the same thing... which is why I didn't want to even reply. Seems like simple spamming to me, but not my call to make I suppose =).
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Folks, learn to use the "FLAG POST" for obvious spam. If enough respected members flag a post, I believe it will be automatically deleted. At the very least, a mod should see it and bust it. Mods, can't we get this thread deleted? Wasting space on the Recent Posts page...
