Wow, that's freakin' cold. I walked my dog this morning at -11. She doesn't mind until it's about -20.

I was junk yard pickin' today in just a hoody and was sweating my balls off. Must've been 60*F. Came home to work in the garage and could do so with the door open and heater off. Not a typical occurrence for December in Buffalo.

Didn't get a temp reading this morning when I left for the gym on my bike at approximately 6:15a. But it was damn cold, probably about 28F if I had to guess. Thankfully my girlfriend has lent me her balaclava for purposes of keeping my ears and forehead warm. I go up and down a bunch of hills on my bike...up is okay, warms me up. Down is brutal in this weather; all exposed body parts get frozen by the wind.

But, I feel pretty bad ass riding past parked cars with frost accumulated on them :).

It's a pretty comfortable 26 here in Chicago. 30 mile per hour winds on the way. The high today was 50 at midnight.

I hear that! I wasn't going to weigh in because I didn't want to sound like a cry baby, BUT...high in the low 40's here in Vegas today. More of the same next two days and then it gets worse, high of 37 and 39 forcast for Sunday and Monday. This is not the Vegas that I signed up for. This is the coldest stretch in my 4 years of living here. And I couldn't wait to get back from my trip east to this crap. I might as well of stayed in Pa for another week.

I hate Vegas when it's that cold. The wind is
always blowing there's so much walking you
have to do. I might be there next month, I
hope it's in the 60's.

Seriously I never thought it would get this cold in Las Vegas. I thought I left the snow and chills back in Seattle.

It's getting extremely hard to get outta bed in the morning/afternoon. Even worse my cold doesn't seem to get better so I am slacking on my workouts.

I have a friend who was sentenced to live in
central FL in the 70's. He was miserable. He
said in the summer you run from your house
to the car, and from your car to everyplace
else your going. The humidity is so oppressive
he thought he was dying sometimes. He was
finally given a parole by his company after 3
years. He still says it was the worst period of
his life. Hemingway lived in FL for 10 years,
but not in the summer. Mostly he lived on a ranch
in MT or traveled, he couldn't take the FL heat.

Florida is beautiful, but the humidity makes it a non-option for me. I don't see how people can tolerate that kind of humidity.

I was in LV one year and it snowed the day I left. The snow was so wet and heavy it took a bunch of power lines down. Shut the town down. I know it was in February

SO the 30's is better than that.......I guess. LOL

It hit 59 in Toronto today, but the record high was 64 in 2001, so based on these two datapoints, the earth is 5 degrees cooler.

Yet it IS warmer in Las Vegas than Seattle. Mrs. Dice and I are heading to the warmer Las Vegas temperatures today. Note I say "warmer," not "less cold" because I want to be in a frame of mind that I'm going to relax and have fun and not have to think about how many layers to wear. I know it's not quite shorts and tee-shirt weather there, but we'll spend most of our time indoors where it will probably be uncomfortably warm anyway.

Maybe to GW scientists should count the number of cats with their tongues stuck to their asses. Is the number going up or down?

The ratio of cats whose tongue is stuck to their ass to cats whose tongue is not stuck to their ass is a material component in determining whether there is indeed global warming. Those cats closest to the South Pole are seemingly able to lick their asses without a problem while those cats closest to the North Pole are refusing to clean themselves. To sum it up, the jury is still out on global warming.

Maybe if the GW scientists would include the number of dogs stuck to fire hydrants on top of the cat/ass problem in their studies we could end the debate once and for all.

Here's the deal in Las Vegas: Cold as hell anywhere but a casino

Ridiculously hot in casinos. Something about all the seniors freezing to death. Except for areas with 100%+ games. Nobody cares about those fleas :)

I don't drink alcohol and I'm starting to just to warm up. That's how cold it is. I knocked back a funky cake tasting vodka mix, jack with coke, and some other assorted mixes throughout the Bellagio and Caeser's Palace during the Holiday gift wrap thing today.

Caeser's had some hovercraft conception where you can take it into the water, mud, etc and it was a golf cart of some sort. Only costs 16 million points, which is equivalent to $160 milllion coin in. Anyone wanna split the cost on this bad boy?
