I want people to win in craps. But most people haven't a clue. The most probable number of any combination is a 7. Therefore is is more probable that a shooter will 7 out before he makes a point. Take out the come out roll within this equation. I don't like don't pass players... but the truth of the matter is that it is a very smart way of playing.

Now onto the odds that people love to play in backing up the pass and come bets. People think that it is the
greatest advantage ever created because you get 3 to 2 odds instead of 7 to 5, or 6 to 5 odds instead of 7 to 6, etc. This is a house advantage because you have to stay on that pass line or come bet to collect.. and the number made has to been rolled twice before you collect. The seven is much more likely to occur. Just place the numbers instead, you can take your money down at any time instead of waiting for that number or a 7. The lure of the miniscule odd difference!! That bet was made to lure players to play the pass.

Next time you walk up to a craps table. Watch how many 7 outs there are as opposed to pass line winners. Everyone seens to think that that 20 minute roll is going to happen every time. Sorry, not gonna happen. Actually very rarely. If you get a few numbers before 7 out, you're lucky ( and I mean numbers rolled, not points..lol). You can win in craps if you play correctly, consistantly, manage wisely, and have 'great energy'... energy is certainly a factor however inexplicable but VERY real.

I love the game and I consistanly win at craps.

Good luck and be smart! Manange well!!

Well you get high points on enthusiasm.

It is true that placing a 6 or 8 is almost exactly the same house advantage as a pass line bet (with no free odds). As a matter of fact, it is so close you would never notice the difference.

Just buy your 4's and 10's instead of placing them and if you have a choice only play at tables where the commission is charged only when you win.

Keep up the good spirits. Someday you might enjoy the mathematics.

>The seven is much more likely to occur.
More likely, but not much more likely.
>you can take your money down at any time
You can take your odds bet down at any time too. The PassLine bet is a contract bet and can not be taken down, but the house edge on it is slight: 1.414 if you do not have an odds bet.
>Watch how many 7 outs there are as opposed to pass line winners.
Usually its about equal. Most tables are referred to as being choppy. Sometimes its PSO and sometimes its establish a point and then immediately make that point. Sometimes there are a few rolls in between. Sometimes there are quite a few rolls in between a point being established and then decided upon. I often play from the Dark Side, even if I am shooting, but the difference between the Right and the Wrong bettors is miniscule.
>Everyone seems to think that that 20 minute roll is going to happen every time.
No. They may hope that it will happen every time but no one realistically believes it will happen every time.
I often set up the inside numbers or go all the way across just to have the very next number be a SevenOut. So much for all my place bets.

You do also.

Yes, I believe so. Most bets have to be reasonable for the player. The casino offers the players the short end of the stick, but it can't be too short.

>Just buy your 4's and 10's instead of placing them
Er, uh... don't you mean just lay your 4's and 10's instead of placing them?

>Keep up the good spirits.
Spirits? I'd love some. Captain Morgan and Coke, please.

>Someday you might enjoy the mathematics.
I generally enjoy mathematics. Its just that I don't understand mathematics, but I do generally enjoy it.
