I understand online gaming sites are regulated by a Gaming Commision. My question is how can a online Table game player be sure that the respective gaming commision has the expertise (read: programing experts) to be certain that there COULD NEVER be any problems with the random generater program. Are random # generators all the same based on the true odds of a given game??? How safely are they programed --that is-- known to be an accepted "standardized" random # generator for a specific game???

Are the companies that produce the code for the TABLE GAME random generators completely independant from the online gaming sites and do they ALWAYS have the full faith of the Gaming Commision via a "TRUST but VERIFIED" relationship. Are the generaters "hack proof" and do they state so in written form?? Who monitors the whole process?? Just the commision?-- does the commision have a (SECOND) unknown and also independant Company double check the codes for true random "accuracy" at any point in time?? Are they required to do checks on these programs and how often??

Many questions and there probably is a "TO" simple answer coming my way. Would appreciate hearing from you on this-- you just might help me in my fears about online gaming random # generators for table games. Getting to old to deal with the noise and the hoopla of the brick and mortar casinos. Would like to quietly play at my leisure from home.

Lastly could you comment on Slot machines with respect to their payouts and any relationship they have with respect to randomness. I see "advertisement".. 99.5% payout....99.9% payout etc. It seems to me their is no randomness with respect to slots. Am I right or wrong?

Thanks in advance for any input on this topic.

a) Not all online gaming sites are actually regulated by a Gaming Commission. The biggest one I know of is the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, which covers a large number of sites. But that Commission is run be an essentially independent group of Canadian First Nations, so while they may do a good job of regulating online gaming, they have no one to answer to if they don't.

b) It is very difficult to test an actual RNG for correctness. Instead, you can test the game itself, and see if it behaves according to how the real game is supposed to. There is a strong interest for reputable sites to maintain a fair game, and for the KGC to provide assurance you are playing a fair game. But, I don't think they actually look at the code. Most auditors probably wouldn't be able to make heads or tails of the code (given what I know about auditors and audit processes).

Pick a reputable site that has been around a while, like Bodog/Bovada, and you won't have any problems with RNG. They don't need to rig it to win.

Finally, slots are random. So... um, what?

" Pick a reputable site that has been around a while "

This is harder to do than beating roulette !

Reputable means not only honest games, but the expectation to receive a withdraw in the same time frame it took to make a deposit !
