Maybe because they think they'll get their ass kicked for not trusting the hooker, while they bend over to put their stuff in the safe.

I'd go with stupid, meaning that if you hire a hooker, escort, or other service, you're dumb enough to trust the other person.

Some rooms don't have safes, some "agreements" are made in the lobby or elevator areas when the chips are on his person. Indeed its that flush feeling that helps to seal the agreement. Some women know how to "up the ante" to reach a sum that will require he open the safe. Sometimes its just a matter of girl having enough of a head start because the guy has his pants off. Some of these responses concerning commercial sex make me think of the mis-communication between the South Seas Islands Chief and the visiting Bishop. When the feast was ending the Chief called out "A woman for the Bishop" and upon seeing the Bishop's horrified reaction, the Chief attempted to counteract his faux pas by amending his cry to "Two women for the Bishop".

Gambling and prostitution have long been linked. Prostitution is illegal in Clark County but clearly all those women loitering outside a casino are not anything but hookers. The economy influences what the casinos will allow the women to get away with. Although pimps are now usually described as Music Promoters or Club Promoters, its fairly easy to check what real estate they own and how large a stable they needed to acquire it.

Some men don't know to shower together or not at all. Some men think the girl is really not from an agency and some men think that there is no pimp involved or close by. Look at that Harvard Preppie medical student who became known as the Craigslist killer. Yes, he was obsessed with sex and with gambling but the darn fool thought that he could meet up with a hooker and there wouldn't be somebody phoning her right away. He also thought that once inside the hotel room he could commence a robbery and she would be immediately compliant rather than that she would be immediately combative and intensely defensive. Its a clash of cultural values as much as that Bishop experienced. Its the same way when some girls try to leave their Vegas pimp.

High Stakes poker games always have a woman around ... greeting the players as they arrive at the suite or serving drinks and snacks or just wandering in and out of the room. If its a truly high stakes game, the promoter will know that tits, eyelashes, smiles and pheromones play a role in gambling. Always.

Women in non-Vegas casinos are often problem gamblers and often know once they are seriously in the red, they should find out who to speak to so as to earn the money back again. Sex and gambling have always been linked.

I disagree with this statement - plenty of guys make enough money and are socially inept enough that they are happy to fork over some money to get laid immediately and not deal with any of the more difficult aspects of getting laid the traditional way. This doesn't mean they are dumb...in fact if they are soliciting the high-priced girls they probably have a lot of money and there's a good chance they are smart and successful in other aspects of life.

I'm not arguing that all Johns are intelligent, but saying it's ridiculous to argue they're all dumb.

As Charlie Sheen said: You are not paying them for the sex, you are paying them to leave afterwards. Rich men are often very efficient and do not waste time with needless time-wasting.

I agree. For wealthy married men who choose to cheat it is a higher EV play to pay for somebody who will keep her mouth shut than get it for free and take a chance on losing millions in a divorce.

They're dumb if they get robbed. If you're going to hire someone to perform an illegal service on you, you can't expect the law to protect you when they are robbed. Inotherwords, budget for your service, have enough money for the service, and lock everything else up.

i guess if you're wealthy, it is indeed a higher EV to screw around with a hooker than lose 1/2 in a divorce.
