Just got back from a 4 day trip to Las Vegas. Some of my group stayed at Wynn / Encore and my wife and I stayed at the Cosmopolitan, since they sent us a better offer. All of us used to play a lot of VP at the Wynn. I've noticed the offers we've been getting the last couple of years getting worse. This trip, we were astounded to find there was only one 8 machine bank of progressive 25 cent VP at the Wynn and none at Encore. The bank was packed - when we showed up, the progressive was at $1,800 and wasn't hit until a couple days later when it was around $3,000. Getting a seat to play was very difficult. Couldn't leave to go to the bathroom without someone trying to take your spot. We had people looking over our shoulder and, as soon as we got down to zero credits, asked it we were leaving. Not a very fun environment to play in.

I know the Wynn is having financial problems now (and has been for several quarters). It seems fairly apparent they don't want VP players there and are slowly removing all the machines. Is this anyone else's impression? We spent one day of our trip investigating other casinos to stay at. Pretty sad, considering we have been going to the Wynn for just over 10 years.

I don't recall exactly but the progressive JoB at the Wynn for $0.25 or $0.50 are 7/5 aren't they? I don't play BP as the strategy is a little more complex and I'm lazy and haven't bothered to learn it. 8-)

I agree that the Wynn's VP has declined over the years. I've played a little of the Super Times Pay JoB for $0.25 which was 8/5 with 3/5/10 play I believe. I could easily be wrong on the pay table and plays however. They are over by the Red 8 restaurant side close to the washrooms. Those machines are usually not that busy, but that could be the timing of my trips to Las Vegas -- typically 2nd week in March.

I've played at the Wynn since 2008 and stayed since 2009 and their VP offering has steadily declined. I recall them having Deuces Wild at decent pay tables for $0.25 and 9/6 JoB at many denominations when I first started playing there. Now it's hard to find a 9/6 JoB there for $5 for crying out loud. There is no way I'm playing at the $5 or $10 level.

The last several trips I've ended up across the street at TI to play JoB at the $0.50 level on their double up machines by the high limit room instead of VP at the Wynn.
