Aren't these credit things similar to Free Travel Miles... as soon as you get enough to do anything with, they change the value structure? Or they just award you fewer than they otherwise would have?

Normally, I would say yes, but I'd be more apt to believe they raise prices on the comped stuff in general than change the program.

First, I would guess the large majority of TR card holders DIDN'T participate in the promotion. Second, the Cash For Rewards program is necessary in the Midwest, so I don't see them changing that.

I had 30,000 points added last night. My trip to Reno/Tahoe was too late in October for me to get credit for another region. Is 30,000 points $300? And I'm a guy who has only accumulated a tier score of 871 this whole year. What is the best way to spend 30,000 points without wasting them on something that would be given/discounted without them?

Yes, that's $300 worth of points. As for using them...saturday night hotel stays? They're usually difficult to get comped.

I received my credits today, but my wife who went along with me to each casino hasn't received hers. Is Harrah's limiting this reward to one per household?

They are worth 300 Harrah's Dollars and 150 Real American Dollars. Trading them in for cash is perhaps the LAST thing you would want to do to get the most value from them (although it would be the most fungible instrument). If you visit casinos, you could get a lot of food, wine, gifts and hotel stays, which may or may not be worth more than half their value to you. If they are not, then you should exchange for cash. You may also check the markups on semi-fungible consumer goods like watches, jewelery, etc.

One thing is for sure... be sure to earn one more credit by the expiration date (which is 6 months after the last earned date.) Otherwise, you'll lose all those points.

I'm trying to decide how to spend mine. I'm thinking the next few trips I'm going to live like a king and do the spa treatment and the works!!

I was gonna ask if the RC's can be used at the spa, Any reason to think that they would not be?

According to the website, most of the spa's accept RC's. The easiest thing to do is charge the bill to the room, then reconcile using RC's.
