True. I'm told that long, long ago some of the rooms in Vegas had names on them instead of numbers because the people had been living there so long since their gambling bankrolls meant a free room and free meals.

I think the policy is an annoyance but I do see a corporate motivation for having it that is not excessive. I think I'd just draw the line at ten days. Most casinos figure that they will shear you well before the fifth night and really don't want all those wool-less gamblers hanging around.

I notice the online booking for a lot of downtown hotels limit you to seven days per reservation. I recently booked ten nights at MSS that took three reservations. I had two offers for three nights on each end, but the online system would not let me add extra days so I ended up making a casino rate stay for the four days in the middle. I checked the fine print carefully and there was nothing that said I had to leave for 72 hours between stays like some of the Boyd offers. I guess I'll find out when I get there if I have to play the check out/in game during my stay.
