just FYI, I was recently in Vegas and the Monday after the opening round of March Madness, the main craps table at Cosmo by the escalators was $5. I was stunned. Other mornings it was $10, but for those looking for cheap craps, Cosmo might have $5 in the mornings.

I've seen it for $5 there as well in the morning. It's typically when there's only one table open and there's no one playing and the dealers are all just standing around with their thumbs up their butts.

Even if someone comes along and jacks up the signage fairly promptly, its worth it to have a good morning session at a low level table. You wake up, you get your free coffees and free water bottles from the waitresses, you start out at a modest pace, ... might as well give it a try. If the level goes up too promptly, you are no worse off than if you had trekked somewhere else in search of an early morning bargain. You've had your free coffee and free water (well a buck or two to the waitress) if they raise the minimum bet you can re-evaluate your plans for a breakfast buffet somewhere.

Its like that early morning special, I think at Ellis Brewery, for a FREE Bingo game. Its only ONE free Bingo form, you have to be seated by 9:00am I think, but if Bingo is appealing to you, its good to know about the offer.

Won't they grandfather you in, even if they do raise the minimum? (I'm not a craps player so I don't know, but at blackjack they always let you continute playing at $5 if you want).

Many places will. Perhaps even "most" places, but often its whims of the Floor Person and its not certain. Any "grand fathering" at lower bet limits is always temporary and depends largely on crowds and staff scheduling.

Cannery also has a free Bingo game on Thursday morning, I forget exactly what time, but between 9:00a.m.-11:00a.m., I meant to play it, but wanted to hurry up and get Downtown to bus to The Strip that day because I had a free buffet at Monte Carlo. Not bad, get your own drinks, which I liked.

Yeah, I'd take a free buffet over a free Bingo card anytime, except perhaps on a very rainy and windy day in which the Bingo might be poorly attended thus increasing the chances of those who do brave the elements.

Any way, the Monte Carlo is generally very well liked.

I was there for March Madness but only saw $25 craps.

Yeah that table is the coldest craps table I've ever played at. Not to mention the longest. I think its a 14 footer. Almost looks like it could be 16! No wonder they're offering $5 limits.

Thus far in 2014, I have played six craps sessions at the Cosmopolitan. Five were on $10 tables and one on a $15 table when they were very crowded. Don't have good records handy for earlier years. I guess I don't get up early enough in the mornings to find the $5 tables.

Played three sessions at Harrah's Cherokee this week, two at $5 min and one at $10 min. Overall, I came out exactly even after toking. Just plain cheap entertainment.

I'll be back in Las Vegas a week from Tuesday.
