No more liberal BJ Switch rule at CR

| OneAngryDwarf Member since: Dec 17, 2009 Threads: 42 Posts: 201 | Well, it wasn't unexpected, but it's still kinda sad. Casino Royale was the last holdout in Vegas for having the rule that a switched blackjack in BJ Switch gets paid immediately. I went there today to discover this is no longer the case. So if you're a fan of this game, there is no longer any reason to visit CR. Actually, I would say there's no real reason for anyone to visit CR. (Yeah, OK, 100x odds at craps, but for my bankroll size it's nothing more than a gimmick.) Slumming ;) Usually I duck inside a bit to cool off while heading elsewhere. First trip I stayed long enough to get a player card and "fun book," I think I even played some VP and Switch BJ. Since then, just the free A/C This space is closed for remodeling |

They've eviscerated their funbook, too. Shame on CR. Took the $10 matchplay coupon and played one hand, waited for a high count, was dealt a 20, won the hand and took the chips to the cage. My buddys coupon hit a bj so he fared better than me. To say nothing of banks of 7:5 JBVP machines adjacent to 8:5 banks getting more action. I can be at the end of the line and he calls me up. Just shows that most dont tip on the $1 drinks. Never gamble there, just stop in on a strip walk. |

Since it was not a natural I would think i could double, hit, whatever I want to do. I got the floor to call upstairs and they confirmed the ruling. Lame. |
