Clearly, we are neighbors and have probably crossed paths at Mohegan Sun-PD. I look forward to reading any of your comments on your perceptions of what you see in Vegas vis-a-vis Route 315. Enjoy. If you are a history buff, then by all means head down to downtown Vegas. But in my opinion, if your total trip is 4 days / 3 Nights, there is too much great stuff to see and do on the strip, and you won't have time to go downtown. A great diversion in the afternoon is to see Mac King at Harrah's. You can oftentimes get coupons for ~ $ 10 tickets from Harrah's employees at the entrance to the casino from the courtyard area. I have found that a small tip there with the Ushers will get you great seating, even with the discounted General Admission ticket price. Now you swear and kick and beg us
That you're not a gamblin' man
Then you find you're back in Vegas

We figure to hit the room, spiff up, then see the hotel, the gardens, the Fiori Di Como, the fountains; I'll take the camera, Wiz, and see if I can get back-roomed! The reception is "meet & greet"... frankly, we don't care to meet a bunch of high A types. We got tickets to see "O" @ 7:30. Afterward we'll hit the casino and pretend to know what we're doing. I gave Mrs Mosca $500 from my nice hit the other day to put away, she'll have a blast. Monday there's an awards dinner, I have to go. Mrs' exact words: "Do you really think I won't be able to find something to do in The Bellagio while you're at that party?" It'll be a really nice party, though. We'll probably game around the ceremony. Tuesday we're free; I checked out that Mac King, he looks pretty funny actually. Mrs wants to see Cher but I'm not a fan. Manilow is too expensive. I think we will not see any headliners. Wednesday, well, the flight leaves at 8:45AM, so, 3 days 3 nights. But since we lose 3 hours, that beats landing at 6AM Thurs and showing up at work 2 hours later! NO KILL I |

| Mosca Member since: Dec 14, 2009 Threads: 74 Posts: 1628 | I haven't taken it yet! I intentionally haven't said the dates, out of a sense of privacy. I really don't think it would be too hard for someone to find me on the 'net if they want to, then find me in real life, and then find out when I'm gone. Call me paranoid. But to me it just makes sense to be circumspect about those things. I've always been a big believer in freedom, and in giving my daughter the tools to succeed in the world. I got her a laptop when she was 11. But at the same time, I'm not an idiot; I installed keystroke tracking software and screenshot capture software on it, and I told her that I did, just so she'd know both that Dad is watching, and that if someone needed to investigate her history, we could do that. I didn't check it all that often, but I did it every couple weeks. She was doing typical kid things; games, Harry Potter stuff. And then I found that someone on the Harry Potter forum was PMing her. And that person didn't seem to be OK. The conversation wasn't anything racy, but still. So I did some poking around, and with my limited skills I found out the guy's name and address, his age, and what he did for a living. And since I had some friends, I asked my friend the FBI agent to check him out, and I asked my friend the computer expert to see if he turned up in any criminal databases. Both came back as negative. So I made up a new Yahoo email address and I sent the guy an email, and I told him that I was her dad, and that I was watching him, and that I knew everything he wrote, and when, and from where; I told him his name, address, and place of employment (schoolteacher). He wrote me back that it was good that I was watching, but there was nothing wrong, etc; I wrote him back that I didn't care what he thought, I was watching him. He stopped. Anyhow, the point is that it took me about 15 minutes to find this guy from his username on an internet forum. And I'm not really all that skilled. Remember tuttigym? It took me about 6 keystrokes to find him. (Not including typing his name, which is obviously 7 keystrokes!) After the trip, I'll post here. I kind of feel a little like an outsider, seeing as how this is a Vegas forum and we haven't been there for over 15 years! NO KILL I |
