Does anyone know the qualifications to get a casino host at Aria?
My husband, being in his mid 20's, was very surprised during our last stay a couple of weeks ago when a casino host found and approached him at one of the slot machines early one morning. He told my husband that if he needs anything to contact him directly. We are going back in October for a week and we got comped a huge suite for the entire stay along with free round trip limo transportation from and to the airport. We will be meeting him again once we arrive there. We don't really keep track of how much we gamble so I'm just curious.

Congratulations. You now have a host. Be happy. ALL players can contact a host and its good the host happened to have contacted you. What "action" will interest the host or the casino will change from time to time. Right now. Aria seems very interested in developing a loyal following. And all hosts will from time to time "invest in the future" even if your current action is not too impressive to them. Things change from time to time as the hosts receive various corporate memos and the like, but right now the situation is that Aria likes you. Congratulations. I doubt it was necessarily the amount you were putting through the slot machine at the time. Slot players are often particularly valuable to a casino though. If you were playing 25.00 slots at the time then Aria would definitely be comping you to a suite.

Right now it is believed that the Aria is a bit "hungry". If so, you and hubby are benefiting from it. Your host will probably greet you upon your arrival in October and will remind you that he is available if you would like anything. Aria won't care whether you happen to win or lose in October, just what your "action" is. Keep his card handy and have his email in mind. Charge whatever you can to the room and be sure to have a brief chat with him prior to your checking out to tell him how much you've enjoyed your stay. This will give him an opportunity to review your gambling and perhaps be even more generous in regard to meals that you've charged to the room or spa charges or whatever.

Aria is very much above Mandalay Bay but Mandalay Bay seems to have tightened its Comps policies of late and it seems that Aria is trolling for customers that it can keep happy, so enjoy it. If you don't even keep track of what you gamble, you are probably of great interest to any casino.

Ya think? How much did City Center lose last year, 200 million?

Yeah, well with a fifty-fifty partnership nothing happens fast.

I think City Center is desperate. They opened an Upscale place in downscale times and many tenants don't want to downscale their name because its a trendy name in NYC and Los Angeles. Restaurants close, curtail hours or go into bankruptcy. Shopping areas are often sparsely populated. The casino needs customers with money. Customers with money get good deals elsewhere, so Aria has got to mine their various prospects and hope for the best.

Will Aria rooms eventually go for fifty dollars a night pets included? Nah... not that bad. Close perhaps though. Right now its a "grasp at any straw" mentality there I would imagine.
