I imagine it to be a pretty isolated incident that only affected very young or very old patrons, or otherwise those with compromised immune systems. It sucks, and it's a little scary, but I choose to believe it's fairly isolated unless/until I hear otherwise. It's definitely not the kind of negative pub they need, though |

The link says some did fall ill. But you're right, too. Legionella is a very common bacterium, and totally harmless when ingested. the problem lies when it's inhaled to the lungs, then it does produce the infection known as Legionaire's disease. This space is closed for remodeling |
