It's looking better and better that I'll be there. :)

This morning, my boss approved my request. Lunchtime, I booked it!

See ya in 50 days!
Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? Note that the same could be said for Religion. I.E. Religion is nothing more than organized superstition.

Is the boss your employer or Mrs Bear?

You're right. Could be either, depending on the situation.

Actually, when I floated the idea past the wife a week ago, she said Go. I thought it might be a trap so I verified a couple days ago.

No, this was my employer who gave me the green light today.

Good to have both bases covered. The secondary confirmation with the wife is an experienced move!

Sigh I am out. Have been really trying to make it work. There are only 3 flights that I have found that would get me there in time. The cheapest of them is 525 each. Can't spend 1k on tickets right now.

Lunchtime

Dang! I had a mental image of this being in the evening. I'd like to suggest we have around a 5:00 start time with a 6:00 dinner, so those doing the Tour de Summerlin (okay, just me) have time to complete it. However, I can be outvoted.
It's not whether you win or lose; it's whether or not you had a good bet.
