Beat Jersey to the punch!

The article says that it could partner with other states to allow their residents to play online poker. With gaming companies having properties in both Nevada and Jersey, that should be the first and easiest partnership.

Looks like you will be able to play legal, regulated, licensed online poker very soon in some states!

The politics of it gets past me. I can't understand how the physical casinos aren't going to be hurt by this, even casinos who have licenses for online gambling. How will it change actually gambling in a casino, casino services, etc. The fear angle on this is quite huge. Seems like the resort fee may be a sign of changes to come which negatively effect those who go to the casino.
I am a robot.

This is a huge help for physical casinos!

They will be the ones running the online poker rooms. And you can be sure they will run online satellites to physical tournaments -- you saw the effect that the online sites had for the WSOP -- now imagine that for your Wednesday night tournament. Going to be huge.

Think of the winning players. You win $1000 playing poker on Bellagio.com, you can go down to the casino and collect cash that day! Think some of that won't be spent on property? Same thing for deposits, too.

Also, this allows for online table gaming as well... just like the illegal bookies do it... get a beautiful dealer at a table, point a camera at it, and take bets online. Except legal and regulated!
