This has been touched on in other threads, but I'd like to officially suggest Wednesday, Sep 28, as our fall 2016 meet-up date. Why? Because so many members come to Vegas for the Global Gaming Expo. I suggest we stick with our usual place I Love Burgers at the Palazzo. The showroom ends at 5:00 that day so I suggest we say that 5:00 is the trickle in time and 6:00 it is safe to start group activities and order dinner. I'm thinking we can play some Deal & Reveal after dinner and/or tiles.

There is a good chance there will be a TomG eating challenge Sunday night (Sep 25) but the details of that have yet to be worked out. Please consider making a wager on that with Tom to increase his incentive.

The question for the poll is can you make it on on the 28th?

Can I start lobbying for the Spring meet up date as I already have my plans? ;-)

Wish I could be here for this one. Was planning on it but life happens.

Considering the greeting the waitress gave us last time, "You're the trivia guys that come every year? We love you!", I'd hardly even think of a different venue.

And it might be a good idea to get a few trivia questions ready. And real trivia - not some BS you read off a trivia pursuit card. Remember, were betting on it. It has to be something that will generate bets on both sides of the "she will know / won't know" line.

Wednesday works for me.

Please note that there will be additional meets thru the week, including the regular, bumping into each other at the show.

I arrive Sunday morning and go home on the Saturday night red eye.

Dohhh... I'll be out that way the first week of October most likely =p.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

I'll be there. Maybe this year I won't lose so much at waitress trivia.

As usual, if I'm open Wednesday early evening I'll swing by -- but professional profit precedes probabilistic palaver.

Huh?

Sounds like you're saying you might ditch us in favor of some random AP opportunity.

What could be a better opportunity than waitress trivia?

You think I'm an AP? Heh. For most folks on this board, G2E is about checking out the new games, grabbing a free hot dog, and generally hanging out in Vegas. For me it's about closing deals and opening new ones. Two years ago, the groundwork I laid at G2E was the genesis of the most important (lucrative) business transaction of my career. There are several ways in which this year could be better. No, I can't discuss the details, but it suffices to say that the EV on what I'm working on is at least five orders of magnitude greater than waitress trivia.

But if that doesn't overlap with Wednesday evening, I might swing by. :)

I will be in town and hope to make the event.

Not sure about G2E; I don't have a ticket but I know that some have been offered here.

No, I didn't think you're an AP.

But I couldn't figure out what it was that you were NOT saying.

See ya in a few weeks, on the show floor....

There are lots of things I'm not saying, some due to contractual obligations and some due to common business practices. The benefits of owning a privately-held company include not having to disclose anything to anyone. :)

For the purposes of me skipping out on trivia night, let's just chalk it up to "I might be working."
