While employed as a players' club representative he put unearned free play credits on cards he and his friends used. More than $30K winnings cashed out. Similar thing happened at Twin River Casino a few years back involving the VP of player development and resulting in +250K loss, iirc. In that case the perp was in Macau before the casino wised up.

Yes, thanks, plenty of search hits. Was at Poconos casino, my stomping grounds are the Connecticut one.

Mohegan Sun Pocono ripped off for +$400K

Bigger league than the Kansas play, better plan, smarter criminals. Same game.

I deal with the Nevada Gaming regulators on audits and that is one of their main focuses. They expect documentation for every point or free play adjustment made in the system. There is also a Minimum Internal Control that states someone in another department that doesn't have access to making those changes review the reports of all point/freeplay changes every month.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.
