A good useful move in putting all that physical and visual distance between the "Flag Post" and the "Reply" & "Edit" or "Quote" buttons.

Amen. Didn't want to accidentally click "Quote" on those.

When viewing on my cell phone the spoiler tags aren't working. It shows the spoiler and I have to click the spoiler button twice to make it disapear.

And if you can read this without pushing the button, then it still exists. Otherwise,
It appears to have been fixed

(and I don't remember the spoiler being shaded in the new version before now, either)

Perhaps the 'red' coloring for banned members user names should become a very high priority.
Considering the many other, mostly helpful, suggestions made that suggestion is a bit sad.

It's not a button. It's a magnifying glass.

Blog comments are messed up. See wiz page 6 for sample. Only the bottom posts has comments and the tags don't work. The avatars are all default.

Petro, this answer for IPad.
1st page of forums shows recent treads on left, about 10 are listed.
Does not show which I have read.
But the words 'Recent Threads', in a gray rectangular box, is actually a 'button'.
Hitting button takes you new list of recent threads apparently as history of all threads, a list over a thousand pages long.
That list does show, by bold type, which threads have been posted to since I read them last.
Type is still blue, which I'm not fond of, but I can tell which is Bold.

As an addition to previous post.
1st page of 'forums' shows 'Top Contributors' on right, and then lists ten in order.
Those words 'top contributors' appear in a grey rectangle, that rectangle is a actually a 'button' or link.
Hit button takes you to complete 'Members list'.
And members names now show up in black, or green, or red, which has changed in last day or two.

Finding these buttons and others, took me a couple days, has made navigating the Forums much easier.
I poke lots of things now, just to see if it is a button.

Oh, my name is still in black on list, for this I am grateful ;-)

As a second update to this post:
Looking at the expanded 'recent threads', then reading this thread update or that, I have to go back to 'Forums' listed at top with something like "Home >> Forums >> Recent Threads", actually does say that if you are looking at 'the Expanded Listing" but does not say that if you dig into individual threads, maybe read a page or two, then it's different, and all those ARE links. The point is, yes I have a point here, once I dig into an individual post or two, it's hard to get back to that 'Expanded List'. It's a 2 step process as best I can tell. First I have to go to 'Forums', wait for screen to refresh to 1st page of Forums, then go to 'Recent Threads' button and wait for screen to refresh to the 'Expanded List' of "Recent Threads". Slow duplicitous process, is duplicitous a legal scrabble word? I'll take duplicitous for 500 Mr Trebec.

Anyway, I need another button / link that makes that a one step process to get me back to the expanded 'Recent Threads' page.
There was another string of menus/links at the top, that varied depending what page you were on, that helped, but not enough. Mission commented on this at 10:33 on July 27. But that is gone, as Mission noticed.

I hope that makes sense, confuses me re-reading it, and I'm mostly sober. Probably will be even more confusing later ;-)

When I come to read the WoV, I go directly to the recent threads page.

When I open articles, I open them in new tabs.

Close the thread tabs as I read, when I get back to the recent threads page, F5 to reload.

Just that easy.

Downside: need to adjust your manner of browsing.

Thanks for trying Dieter, big thx. I am going to assume you're on a computer, with a keyboard.
Tell me if I'm wrong.
I access via IPad, not IPad that is also phone, just IPad on MY personal, protected, WiFi.
I am not tech savvy, and I am being overly nice to myself with that statement.
I can, sometimes, open things in new tabs with touch screen. Got no clue as to whether I have F5 functionality to 'reload'.
I already got too many tabs open, my 10 year old (youngest son) sometimes helps me 'clean-up' things. My 12 yr old son has given up on me. He is wise beyond his years, that must come from his mom's side of the family.....

Hey, if you've figured out a way that works for you, great.

If you're dissatisfied with the way things work, you can either change what you do, or wait for someone else to maybe change what the other side does to a way that you may or may not like.

Just sayin'.

Anyway, tablets and phones ("mobile devices") aren't an ideal way to heavily interact with the web. Instead of a keyboard shortcut to reload the page ("F5"), you often have to go to an address bar (which may involve some odd gesture) and tap the circular arrow that's pointing at its tail. Opening in a new tab ("Open in Background" in safari speak) requires a tap-hold, then a menu selection (unlike something sensible, like an alternate button click, control-click, shift-click, etc).

For those websites that are workable on mobile devices, they're often not great on desktops.

For those websites that have two modes (one for mobile, one for desktops), they often fall out of sync (have different information), and have different navigation trees (can find stuff on one site, can't on another).

Just a tough nut to crack all around.
May the cards fall in your favor.

My two cents worth is that I preferred the old format.

All this white space might be beneficial to other platforms, but on my trusty desktop there is too much of it, and it obscures the useful, relevant, important stuff that you want to read. The color scheme is way too blended in to make things stand out.

Admittedly, I have an inbred resistance to change, coupled with ever-advancing age that makes me grumpy and argumentative when "They" tell me that whatever it is that "they" are touting is "new and improved". New, yes. Improved? Not if I didn't ask for it. And in this case I did not. Not that anyone bothered to solicit my opinion, nor, I'll bet, anyone else here. How thoughtful to not even inquire of any of the longtime, loyal, serious users as to what they might like to see "improved".

Again, as a matter of advanced age, I find it aggravating that there are teams of people whose sole purpose is to "improve" things. I connect to sites all the time that have gone through repeated, constant, rapid redesigns, so that as soon as you get used to what they are offering, whamo, they have changed it again.

And, as is the case here, it's just the same old wine, but in new bottles.

There is absolutely nothing new here - no added value to offset the aggravating inconvenience of learning what someone who probably knows absolutely nothing about the product (knowledge of gambling) has reworked. They can, however, code in HTML or Java or C++, and so they get to decide what we are obligated to like, if we want to continue to make use of the "product".

Guaranteed that the web designers, having just foisted this new design on us, are hard at work coming up with a newer, even more "improved" version that will replace this one, right about the time that we have gotten used to it and figured out where they have moved all of the features we were familiar with.

This seems to be the best place at the moment to make a suggestion for a 'change'.
Not related to the new roll-out, but:
I think it would be nice if under 'Gambling Ouside Vegas'
there could be a new 'Topic' added, - 'Cruise Ship Casinos'.
There are threads scattered about here and there in the Forums,
And a nice one back in April under 'Topic' 'Americas'.
Would be nice to centralize those discussions with their own 'Topic', IMO
I assume that a number of members here are getting, and have used,
Offers from Total Rewards on Norwegian Cruise Lines.
I'd like to discuss their experiences, discuss it some more, there has been some.
Sparkles has us signed up for a NCL cruise in Nov.

I realize that things are, uh, a bit busy right now,
But there is my suggestion. Thx for listening.

Hi guys, thanks for all constructive criticism and feedback.

And apologies for slow response, i was on my way to the States ( currently in Chicago, and tommmorow flying out to Seattle ).

We have been ironing out those reported bugs and working on improving few other things for mobile platforms ( cells and tablets ).

For those tablet users you will notice that the forum sections have collapsing on default, which makes it easier for scroling.

Ill make the poll soon to see what you guys think of implementing that for the desktop users too.

We made a little PM Icon ( an envelope ) left to your user names at the top of the page. When ever you get a message that icon will turn red , with the number of unread messages.

Now we are working on making the search button more visible on tablets and few other things.

From my understanding of the graph, even when it's updated to include July it won't answer the question.

Vegas in two weeks, already booked ! :)

Vegas in two weeks? What the hell you doing up there in Seattle?
Headed for Alaska? Cruises are sweet...
Got some new girlfriend in Seattle? Girlfriends are sweet....
Playing around with the bank of servers that supports the forum? Sounds like work ;-(

I can pick you up at the ATL airport and show you a thing or two round here, if you have time.
No need to rush home once the 'work' here ( USA) is done.
Stay awhile, have some fun......
Just sayin'. The 2F
Youuuuuu MIGHT be a 'rascal' if.......(nevermind ;-)...2F

( currently in Chicago, and tommmorow flying out to Seattle ).

Washington is where I was born and raised, just a few hours from Seattle. And just 10 miles from Lake Samish. Summers are great in Washington state.
hopefully you got to see Chuckanut Drive

Figured more pleasure since Washington state seems fairly strict on the online gambling stuff.

Looks as if today's version of that graph ends on June 1 or June 2. Doesn't really address the question that I think coilman was asking.

Agree. We will have to wait a couple of months for the graph to catch up.

Each year there is a thread with a link for free G2E expo floor tickets. We also arrange a dinner and gambling night with Mike in addition to hanging out more or less together at the show. So Mark your calendar / make reservations now...
