Wizard or anyone else who might find this information useful,

L'arc no longer has craps.

Wynn no longer has craps.

The Galaxy still has it's table on the floor but it wasn't working on the weekend. So I think it's in Limbo.

Venetian had two craps tables but now it only has one.

Plaza at the Four Seasons has a craps table.

MGM still has their craps table.

Minimums:
@MGM 200hkd
@City of Dreams 100 hkd
@Venetian 200hkd - 500hkd
@Plaza 200hkd

At 7.75 HKD to the dollar, the minimum bet at $200 HKD is $25.81 USD

11-13 from Westcoast 18-21 from East Coast. Depending if you have a connection or not. Macau airport is small and only a certain number of airlines stop there. Air China being one. Most likely a flight will go straight to HK and you'd take the Speedboat over. 45 minute ride from the airport to the ferry terminal on either Macau Peninsula or Cotai/Taipa Island.

You seem like a serious craps player DeMango. I say if you've got some money to burn on the trip or want to go on vacation I'd go for it. I am there every two months for a 2-4 days stay.

@teddys why bother?

simple, the bigger you bet the more you can win.

If you play BJ their csm games are beatable...

As far as craps go take all the time you need setting the dice. Nobody will ever rush you. Asian players play much differently than US counterparts. When shooting they'll play a passline bet with no odds otherwise majority of all bets are place bets. You can ask to put some free odds behind their bet.

Also no tipping in Macau so it saves on your edge. I tip anyway at the end of my session and everyone is always very surprised and grateful.

NO tip hustling for the those who can't stand that.

Casino's will give you cash back on buy ins over 10,000 hkd roughly 1,300 USD. Or for a bigger percentage you can buy promotional chips.

Free shuttle buses between properties. So spend no money on cabs.

Great Portuguese/Chinese cuisine.

Short bus ride to the beach.

If you're the type who is looking for adult activities they've got it and for 1/4 the price.

As you see there are a lot of reasons to bother with Macau.

1/4 of what price? I was told by very good sources that it was roughly $120.usd up to $250.usd in the saunas which was full service including meal(s). Street action also 500-1000 Hong Kong dollars which isn't 1/4 of the surrounding countries? On this sensitive subject, it should be noted that a lot of Chinese ladies won't go with western men because the Chinese customer base will blackball them, never take them, if they see it.

What about the Lisboa? Did you make it there? I'm told they have an active table open 24/7?

Thanks Nick for the detailed reply. Looks like a 16 hour flight out there(LAX - Hong Kong) for $4.5K business class. Been on a 16 hour flight from Atlanta to JoBurg. Never again in coach! Start saving my pennies!

No problem! Sorry I was wrong about the west coast travel time, felt shorter to me the last time I flew out of LA. Past three times to Macau I've been flying from Mainland Beijing so its four direct to Macau. I also forgot to mention there are free shuttle buses waiting for customers at both the airport and ferry terminals to take you to the casinos.

@Noktang

Not sure about Lisboa. I should have walked in there to check since I walked by the place a few times... :( I wanted to go see the racetrack/fishbowl that TomSpur was talking about in the basement of the Lisboa but I ended up chickening out. Also I figured if the Wynn, an American establishment next door to the Lisboa had dumped craps that it would have seemed likely the Lisboa a Chinese owned Casino would have dumped it as well. So if it's still open it would surprise me!

cheers.

The racetrack is world famous. But, again, they will avoid western guys as the Chinese men for some reason have good memories and talk to each other. Maybe however the girls are just superstitious which is common among prostitutes.

I thought the Lisboa was now a joint venture with the Australian casino Crown/Packer group? Does't really matter to me or us.

They close the craps tables I guess because of no customers. Surprised Wynn took there's out. There is another rumor that the Sands over by the ferry terminal has a craps table. It reads like craps is boring in Macau anyhow.

Yea craps is a little quieter in Macau, I mostly attribute it the lack of drinking and gambling by Chinese patrons. The table can still get a little rowdy on a hot streak though! And at least the layouts and racks aren't all sticky from the spilled rum and cokes :)

Though it does feel like a different game out there I think the key is just to have a good time and people will follow suit.

Also I don't know what it is but I've seen some pretty damn good Chinese shooters and have won on all my three trips to Macau this year... Lucky I guess.
