Just curious, so I looked up the event schedule for the new arena. As far as I can tell, it doesn't look like very much has been scheduled there so far.

T-MOBILE ARENA EVENTS

THE KILLERS – 4/6

GUNS N' ROSES – 4/8-4/9

HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS – 4/19

GEORGE STRAIT – 4/22-4/23

JANET JACKSON – 5/14

GARTH BROOKS – 6/24-6/25

GARTH BROOKS – 7/2-7/4

DIXIE CHICKS – 7/16

GEORGE STRAIT – 9/9-9/10

2016 PBR WORLD FINALS – 11/2-11/6

GEORGE STRAIT – 12/2-12/3

GEORGE STRAIT – 2/17-2/18/17

That's not a terrible line-up.
The Killers Guns and Roses vs the Globetrotters while Straight George kicks in with Janet Jackson simultaneous with Garth brooking the Dixie Chicks? Then Straight George takes all in the Pabst Blue Ribbon challenge and reveals to the world, twice, that he really is Straight? How much are the tickets?

I just looked up Garth Brooks on the 4th of July and they look to be 79.50 before taxes and fees no matter where you sit. Seems like it would probably end up being about $90-$95 a pop but I am sure different artists are able to charge different amounts due to A) the demand for the seats and B) the relative affluence of their clientele

Wow, that seems very cheap. He was getting $250 a ticket at the Wynn but it was a much smaller venue.

It's one thing to sell at a premium in a venue with 1,200 seats, it's another thing for a 20,000 seat arena. What shocked me more is that there were no separate price points. It seemed to be a flat fee for front row or nosebleeds. Personally, I might rather pay $250 to watch him play in an intimate venue, where you can really see his mastery of the instruments in a venue that is made to accentuate sound, and perhaps even make eye contact with the artist vs a giant arena that might not be as accoustically sound

Someone would have to pay me $250 in order to get me to a Garth Brooks show.

Personally, I like the MGM Grand arena. I stay at the MGM Grand often and I like just walking from my room right to the theatre.

Thanks for the laugh. Garth attracts a middle class down to earth hard working crowd. Not exactly a haven of liberalism in that group. But when he starts paying 90% in taxes maybe you'll like him better.

He's controlled the pricing on his comeback tour (which is now into it's 17th month), and to my understanding, all the seats at all the venues have had a flat price.

Nah, when he's paying 90% in taxes his music will still be equally as crappy as it is now.
