Hey all,

Its funny i have been on this site for a while now and didnt even realize that dan had gotten this section up and running. I wanted to post in this forum to introduce myself to a few of you i havent formaly met yet. For those of you that dont know me, my name is Brent Weiss, i am the owner of the new table game money$uit 31. There are a few threads discussing my game in the table games section of this site. If anyone hasnt tried the demo of Money$uit 31 yet, it's housed at www.moneysuit31.com.

Stacy, i appreciated that info regarding the dice manufaturing question i had posted. One more question i have is do you happen to know if gpi or any of the other companies can produce d4 dice with custom printing?

I've seen d6 with custom foil lettering, though I'm not sure who did those. Your best bet is to call them up and find out what level of customization they can do. You're going to have a tough time with calibration and balancing, though. That's why I suggested using existing equipment.

Have you tried Midwest Game Supply in Missouri ? They produce dice, amongst other things, and the CEO has always been an excellent guy to work with based on my past experiences.

I've looked at the Moneysuit31 game. It took me a while to realise that you don't necessarily have to have the money suit in order to win. So, initially, when it showed spades and I was dealt 9 spades, 10 hearts, 6 hearts, I was discarding the 6 hearts instead of the 9 spades -- correct ?

I wasn't doing very well until I was dealt A Q 10 clubs (so didn't even have to discard). It wasn't the moneysuit but I still got a good payout.

What's the house edge on this game and who did the math' ?

One suggestion. The electronic suit randomizer will add a considerable cost to the game as well as making approval more complex, time consuming and expensive. Would it alter the game much if the dealer dealt to all players and then dealt one card face up to designate the suit ? This would only give one card information to the players so is unlikely to affect the odds too much and it's a very simple way to determine the suit. The suit doesn't have a massive impact on the game unless there is a tie or you get a mini-royal.... Just a thought anyway.

correct, the Money$uit is there as a bonus suit for the higher payoffs you dont need to have that suit to win; you should have discarded the 9 of spades in that instance.

That should have been a nice payoff plus the $200 from the progressive bet. How much did you have on the ante/play?

GLI calculated the game to have a %6.85 HA with the progressive having a %21 HA.

Your right about the electronic display. That's actually why I had been asking about the custom dice. I plan to use a four sided die with one suit on each side, with a popper or shaker to determine the Money$uit.

What was your overall opinion of the game?

You may be better off with an 8-sided die as they are more common I think ? If GLI calculated the game then I'm assuming that you have a casino that is willing to test the game out ?

Once I worked out the fact that the 'Moneysuit' is not the all-important factor, I felt that it was quite entertaining. The 'Draw' allows an added level of anticipation and I ended up winning which can sometimes lead to having a more favorable view on a game :-)

I'd need to play it a bit more, now that I have the feel of the game, in order to give a better opinion. I'll play a couple more times, over the next few days, and let you know what I think, for what it's worth :-)

Thanks, I will look into the eight sided as well. Unfortunatly, at the moment I don't have a solid commitment. Although a few casinos, who I had presented for, are still discussing the idea of a field trial.

Im glad you enjoyed the game!! Always nice to end a winner!

I would appreciate that. Keep me posted with how you do.

And for the record, everyones opinion is worth something :)

As a follow-up:

Generate one of 4 suits using 2d6 as follows:

First die: 3 red faces, 3 black faces
Second die: 3 faces club/diamond, 3 faces heart/spade.

Each roll uniquely determines one of 4 card suits with equal 9/36 probability, and getting custom d6 made is easy (well, easier than custom d4, etc.)

Good luck!

Brent, about dice: there are many game supply companies that stock or make custom d3 to d16 dice, such as:
www.gamestation.net and www.gmdice.com . They're used in everything from role playing games to I-Ching casters.
Some remarkable stuff.

As for the Game Inventors Corner, Mike was very open to the petition for it; credit to the Wizard.
