DDB is all I've really played (MN, Vegas & WA) casinos and I'm curious: Is there a difference b/w playing a $0.05 max credit machine ($5) and a $0.25 max credit machine ($5)?

Do the machines, on average, pay differently the more the minimum/maximum bet is?

Probably a kindergarden question, but I appreciate your sympathies.

And, on the positive side of things, hit 4 aces w/ a jack today for $800... in about 3 minutes on a machine. Was great!

It all depends on the paytables. You need to compare the prizes between the two, and that will answer your question. Often, the lower-denomination machines will have a paytable that has a lower return, but not always.

You want to look for machines that pay 10 coins for a full house and 6 coins for a flush. The payback on those is 100% over the long run. Lots of variance on that game. Last time I played I got 4 aces, and then aces+kicker almost back to back.

Whether I was betting $0.05 or $5.00 it was the same payout so when I hit the 4 aces and a jack, it was 32000 (divided by whatever) = $800 payout and at other $1 machines, 4 Aces = $800 or $2K w/ the kicker.

Anyway... this helps, right?

Not really...you need to look at what a FullHouse & Flush pays, that's the key...
Full Pay = 10/6
NotTooBad = 9/6 (98.99% game)
They say casino's aren't built on winners... No...they're built on ignorance.
