1. Has it been worth it to you? Example, on a monthly basis you've won back enough to at least pay for your $3.99 subscription (or is Gold more?).

I think it starts at $2.99 a month for "silver" which blocks ads, and it's like $50 or $60 for gold. Other than when I got a short freebie upgrade, I've only been a lowly user

2. How often are the contests?

There is a daily where you can play up to 8 sessions of 50 hands. If you play the full 8 then you'll get 4 extra plays for the next day.

There is also a weekly that starts Monday mornings. This is 100 hand sessions, and it's unlimited.

There is also a monthly; 5 sessions per day of 100 hands each, all with "classic" games.

There is also a monthly "seven star" contest which you need to qualify for. (More information on their site).

3. What is the prize bucket?

It varies. I believe it's $25 for the Daily up to $250 for the monthly, with some lower amounts as well including free limited-time "gold" status.

4. How is the prize distributed? (1st place, 2nd place, etc.)

Too many to list, look on their contest page

And don't get too excited; I've never won anything, nor have most people. But oddly enough there are a lot of people that get amazing scores, scores I've rarely if ever seen, on a regular basis.

I was really glad to do the gold membership on videopoker, since you asked. No commercials or ads, and you have access to the trainer, which I find invaluable while learning a new game. I don't generally have time to keep up with the tournaments, but that would be another way to make money. The big one for me is playing the games well. The time may come when I have them all optimally, but I can't say that yet. Easily worth the membership fee.

I got the "target hand" once in a weekly contest. Dealt Aces with kicker on Triple Double Bonus "Peek and Play". My other 99 were bad enough though that I only finished 37th for the week. Got 5000 "player points"...big deal. Now if I could take that dealt hand and place it with the very next 100 hand session I played, I would have got 1st place for the week ($150)... :'( Obviously I was quite mad...

Hey, thanks for taking time to answer each of my questions with such detail.

I am excited, but not yet about Videopoker.com. One of our WoV admins, BBB, said that Gold would be worthwhile to have access to the trainers, plus no commercials or ads.

I'm keeping my options open, because we don't get to visit Las Vegas too often - so right now, I'm more excited about my upcoming VP Tournament in Apr!

Staying focused,

ANYONE else gotten more than "one" magic card on a magic card deal???

Romes - and Gary!

I'm reasonably sure a player shouldn't be able to select how many Magic Cards they want, otherwise, I'll swim over to Las Vegas right now (but posters said the game isn't yet available) and I'll empty the casino's bank!

So when you click on PICK, this is what you see.

I'm not sure what the arrays are supposed to represent, so I just selected different cards before my choic of 1, 2, and 3 Magic Cards.

Here are the results for ONE Magic Card

. . . for TWO Magic Cards . . .

and THREE Magic Cards . . .

I think IGT shut the door and the party is over. The link takes me to a page for the game, but without logging in you don't get to see anything. The game is not found using the site's search function. :-(

We all had trouble loading the game, especially for me in Chrome. When I loaded the link in IE the game worked first try. Might give that a try.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Uh, the party's still open for me. I earlier posted that the site seems to be "ornery", and I had to click 2 or 3 times on the link on page 1 of the OP. I use a lowly iPad2 inherited from my wife who got the AiriPad for Xmas.

I've enjoyed playing the first 2 days, but the thrill is gone since I discovered by accident that you can actually "tell" Magic Deal how many Magic Cards you want on the next deal by clicking on the PICK button before your next deal.

I can get 3 Magic Cards as often as I like! I hope IGT forgets to remove the PICK button (between the speaker icon and the BET ONE icon) when they introduce Magic Deal in downtown Las Vegas.

Couldn't get it to work on my windows computer, but got it to work on my android phone straight away. No audio though. :(
