Anyone familiar with the new version of this game? Played it the other day. It's a three hand version of video poker, with all the usual choices of games, but if you get two or more suited toward the royal, it opens up two new sets of three hands, keeping the suited cards, regardless of what you hold on the bottom 3.

It costs 15 credits plus 15 credits to activate the chase the royal feature.

Say you get three to the royal below, let's say 10, J, and A of spades, and two more aces. You hold your three aces and the bottom three hands are dealt normally, but the three to the royal move up to the first extra set of 3 hands. If you pick up a 4th suited, or even the royal, they stick, and move over to the second set of 3 hands.

The guy next to me got a royal fairly fast playing quarters, and was quickly up about 1200. I was playing nickles, and lost 40.00, put a hundred in, and fairly quickly managed to get a double royal flush. Being a 30 year las vegas native, I'm well aware this is just blind luck, but as it's a relatively new game as far as I know, just curious how the true odds stack up versus standard video poker with no gimmicks, if anybody knows.

Thanks in advance.

It is Royal Hunt.

I hit a double RF on it and posted a picture. But somehow the original picture is right side up, even if you click on "view image in new tab".....but on the forum it shows upside down, at least from my phone. But computer shows it right side up on forum & source.

I think you just witnessed extraordinary luck. Tried it tonight and it was pretty much boring all the hands I played never being successful

Thanks. I didn't recall the name. It was fun, although expensive. I'm still curious how the odds match up. Because of how it plays, there shouldn't be any deviation from standard video poker. The biggest difference is instead of keeping your winning hand on the lower reels, only the suited move up. You can still catch winning hands above, but the payout level would be far less.

The question becomes how much more possible are the royals, and does it keep your payout percentage in the high 90's.

Definitely more fun then standard poker, but with the much higher risk reward, I just want to be sure the gimmick doesn't drop the payout into the lower 90's or less.

Not sure how to do the math here.

Is that a new video poker game? I never heard it before and never saw one either. Where did you played it and who made it? is it Microgaming or RTG?

Royal Hunt can be played on video poker.com as well as Chase the Royal. Chase the Royal didn't work on my phone for a technical reason I forget and might need to be played from a computer.
