I came across a posting at East Coast Gambler that describes a "desperate measure by the AC Hilton to save itself". It seems the casino has been advertising a Full Pay area.

"... The full-pay area was VERY easy to find. We’re not just talking about 2 banks of 6 machines each here; they have what must be a 50×30 area filled with various forms/denominations of full-pay, with signs advertising as such all above it. It was a lot bigger than vpfree2 made it seem.

Since the casino, overall, was pretty dead, we had no problems finding adjoining machines. I proceeded to grind my way through about 1.5 hours, slowly bleeding credits. Long story short, you need more than your fair share of full-houses and quads to just break even at VP and I was hitting at a level a bit below that. ..."

I'm not in Atlantic City and don't play Video Poker, but thought this might be of interest to those who do play Video Poker. The South Point just made a big deal about loosening ten percent of its slot machines but not saying which slot machines. Here is a casino that apparently is putting all its Full Pay VP machines under one sign saying "Full Pay".

Found the full pay VP at the Hilton just as FleaStiff described. I don't play machines but my wife enjoys the penny slots. That's her entertainment and that's okay. I am always coaxing and cajoling her to try video poker rattling off odds, probabilities, anything to get her to try it. Well, she finally tried it, probably just to shut me up and proceeded to get totally annihilated.

As we were leaving the Hilton, I sheepishly asked where she wanted to go next. She said we had to find a casino with the Three Stooges machines so she could get her money back. We did and she did. So much for giving advice.
