I've been seeing new video poker games right and left lately. The latest one to be analyzed is Lucky Quads Wheel Poker. Very simple concept -- for a sixth coin the player enables a bonus spin feature for a natural four of a kind on the draw.

The analysis was easy except for the wild card games, where I had to write code to distinguish between a wild and natural four of a kind.

As always, I welcome comments, questions, and especially corrections.

The question for the poll is would you poll is would you play this game if the return were the same as conventional video poker?

Making Deuces Wild return more with the feature than without it is a nice touch.

Dang, I forgot about that game. I think a difference is Wheel Poker has an actual wheel above the game and Lucky Quads has a video representation of a wheel.

Link to Wheel Poker.

There's a Double Double Bonus paytable in the Double Bonus section. Or maybe the table is right but, mislabled.

There's a game similar to these that you get to play bonus hands at Red Rock that I really like. Can't remember the name, but if you get dealt trips or better on the deal you get to play the bonus game.

Looks like fun. Not sure if I'd play it, especially since it's only on single line games. In case you don't know, I don't like single like VP unless it's very very strong.

Although there is more variance, it would be fun to play. Much preferred on something like 10-line, though.

Zcore, I think that's "Wheel Poker". It spins and lands on random hands, and how many lines it is. Like one might be 10-play with 8,8,5,5. If you get 1-2 FHs then it pays 125. If you get 3-4 FHs it pays 300. If you get 5-6 FHs it pays 800. If you get 7+ FHs it pays 4,000. (Just made up the numbers, but something like that). Then there's like triple play AKQs, or 5-play AAA, etc.

I don't think it was Wheel Poker. You are describing what I am referring to, but I don't think that's Wheel Poker. In the one I am talking about and you are describing, it only takes 3 of a kind or better to go to the bonus. The Wheel Poke description says you have to get quads and then you spin a wheel like wheel of fortune for winnings in dollars.

On the Deuces Wild version, does a five of a kind consisting of a natural four of a kind and a deuce trigger the bonus?

What about four deuces?

I once got the four to the royal with three draws in the bonus round and hit for $1000! Love this game.
