I have read in a number of places that this bet exists, but I don't know which casino has it. Has anyone seen this?
Also, I am looking for craps tourneys in Vegas, and am having little luck.

Thanks,

Todd

I've done craps tournaments at the Mandalay Bay and Venetian. The Venetian tournaments entail proper tournament strategy, where the best players at the table advance. The Mandalay Bay craps tournaments are more luck, where you play three times and they add up your final chip count between each session.

is there a special time of year that they occur? Any idea about the 2000 to 1 for 6 diff number rolled on the fire bet?

Thanks,

Just wanted to say I had the same question last night (but no answer). I checked the WoO site, where a December 2003 Ask the Wizard question had a response showing a Fire Bet payout table of 10x for the 4th point, 200x for the 5th point, and 2000x for the 6th point.

The "Fire Bet" thread that is currently running hot and heavy around here about what/whether to lay bets on the 5 and 6 points seems to assume a pay table of 250x for the 5th point and 1000x for the 6th point. If that thread discusses the payout for the 4th point, I missed it.

I have rarely bet this wager, and never more than $1, but I guess it would be better to at least understand what the payouts are! What pay tables are common?

At the various HET casinos where I've seen (and played) the Fire Bet, the only payout I've seen is:

- 4 points (25 for 1)
- 5 points (250 for 1)
- 6 points (1000 for 1)

Thanks for the info, RPToro. That pay table appears to have a 19.8% house edge, compared to the 24.7% edge for the table shown in the WoO response. Either way, it seems to be in the general range of a keno game. Or an "Any 7" bet.

The table I see on the WoO site shows a house edge of 20.76% (Pay Table A - https://wizardofodds.com/craps/appendix4.html)

Interesting.

I had not found that particular page at WoO. I had found this page, which has answers to questions submitted. It appears that Pay Table B on the page that you cited is the same as the pay table on the page I had found. Unfortunately, the stated probabilities for making the various number of points have slight disagreement between the two WoO pages. Apparently the Wizard changed his mind. The probabilities on the page you found lead to higher house edges for both pay tables.

Thanks for pointing out the better page.
