Forgive me if these have already been answered, please direct me to that in your responses as well. However, after a short search I could not find much on how baccarat is currently comped. I am interested in:

1) What does bac play get comped as a percentage of theoretical?
2) How do they account for players playing few hands per hour?
3) Do they do a good (decent) job of accounting for varying bet sizes from hand to hand?
4)Are there any places which have a reputation for being generous/stingy with bac comps?
5) Do any of the answers to these change radically in response to average bet size?

Thanks for your help.

All casino comping systems are kept somewhat secret and confusingly change from time to time anyway.

In general, the CET properties comp slot players. All casinos comp slot players the best, but CET seems to really not care much for Table Game players.

MGM used to be known for being generous to Table Game players but I don't know about now.

SouthPoint and Silverado are always confused by me... so find out which one of them will GIVE table games players BOTH slot points AND table game points for playing EITHER.

Southpoint has a very complex data base program administrator who is also a gambler and I believe he is the one who refines their comping program. ALL casinos have some time lag between getting the data and incorporating it into their mailings.

All casinos have some time lag between your actual playing and their computer knowing about your actual playing. That is why many gamblers come right out and ask "how long do you show me as playing" and "what do you show is my average bet".

Remember, Floor Persons have LOTS of duties and must watch ALL dealers and ALL players and ALL activity that goes on. They are however good at their jobs and GENERALLY do pretty good work in watching your buy in and your Coloring Up... and can probably tell you to the penny how many chips you've slipped into your pocket. However, they do have to watch others so they may indeed only have "estimates" of your betting and your time at table. That is one reason I tip heavily when I am first playing. The Floor comes back with my card, wishes me luck and sees and hears me tipping that dealer. I start off with a sort of "halo" that way.

I think you will find that although casinos use slightly different formulas for Hands Per Hour it also depends on the number of people at the table and how serious they are. I think any gambler should always know their own "THEO" and since comps are usually based on your THEO, and NOT on your ACTUAL results, the gambler should form an opinion as to how well he is "liked". There are certain casinos who for some reason just don't like some of their players and don't really care if they leave or not.

Average bet times Time at Table is the biggie. Change either of those and you've got major variance. Its generally well known that The Venetian likes to see FOUR hour sessions.
