Baccarat Tourny at Aria

Today I was invited to aria's 500k baccarat tournament on may 10th. I have never played any tournaments before so does anyone have any ideas on best plan of attack for these type of tournaments are?
the payout structures are as followed
1st place 300k
2nd place 40k
3rd-12th 10k
there are 2 qualifying rounds and a semi final round before finals. I am automatically starting in semi's because of my level of play at M properties.

Play the other players, not the cards.
Try to create swings. (Go big on player when everyone is betting banker).
Utilize the tie bet if necessitated.
