Is Bodog dishonest? You make the call

| FinsRule Member since: Dec 23, 2009 Threads: 51 Posts: 771 | Currently, you can go on Bodog and bet $50 on Gio Ponti to win the Breeders Cup Classic at 12/1. Or, you can go and bet $50 on Paddy O'Prado to win the Turf Classic at 8/1. Not too bad. Gio finished 2nd in the Classic last year, and Paddy is the best 3 year old turf horse in the country. EXCEPT Gio Ponti isn't running in the Breeders Cup Classic this year. He's running in the Turf Mile. And Paddy O'Prado isn't running in the Turf Classic. He's running in the regular classic. So the question is: Is Bodog dishonest for having these odds posted? Or is it the player's responsibility to know everything before wagering? Or both? I'll have all of my Breeders' Cup picks up tomorrow, so you can laugh when I go 0-14. |

I would assume that, once discovered, just like a horse that gets scratched, any bets with that horse (including combination bets) get cancelled and the money returned. If that's the case, then what has Bodog to gain by being dishonest? Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown.
But how much does it cost to knock on wood? |

| EvenBob Member since: Jul 18, 2010 Threads: 231 Posts: 6380 | I have a reasonable way of playing that keeps me near even in a real casino. In fun mode on Bodog, it works basically the same. As soon as I start playing for real money, it disappears as if by magic. What does that mean. It happens every time I play, so I quit playing there. Duh. Otherwise bodog is a good site to play online casino games. It is considered among the top best sites to play casino games like poker, blackjack, baccarat or craps. So try again, it will definitely work fine next time or so. Admin note: removed spam affiliate link. - JB |

No, it won't. I've used it on and off for years and always get the same results. One casino owner to another: "It would be so much easier if we could just hit them over the head, steal their money, and throw their bodies in the creek." Al Swearengen, Deadwood |

| sam76 Member since: Dec 4, 2011 Threads: 1 Posts: 4 | Help me out with this one then: I'm fairly new to blackjack, still learning basic strategy and card counting basics, so maybe I'm missing something. Bodog has 2 "new" blackjack games, 1-deck blackjack and 2-deck blackjack. I thought I would use the practice version of the 1-deck game to practice and hone my card counting, when I noticed that after 52 cards were played I was never anywhere near 0. So I started paying attention to each card to see how often they were played. Within the first 3 hands I'm seeing cards that are replayed. Because I wasn't able to find any procedures in the rules on Bodog's site, I'm now questioning if I understand exactly what 1-deck blackjack is and how its played. I was under the impression that the deck would be played all the way through before being reshuffled, or at least past the 3rd hand! I tried to search for posts on this subject before posting my own but couldn't find any. Please help. Thanks |

I do know you'll never find any deck games that play out an entire deck or shoe, which is why you'll always here discussions about "penetration" when describing different joints. It seems Bodog is simulating real ife. " 'Luck' is probabilty taken personally" - Penn Gilette |

Counting is useless on a site like Bodog as they either shuffle every hand or randomly shuffle. "The Roman Empire wasn't planned, but neither did it 'just happen.'" |
