So if you're graphing the season, how do 130 dogs graph against focus? I'm thinking the dogs are best the first 6 weeks while teams shake out, and the focus cones along a little later as the team gels. Could easily be wrong.

Hi beachbumbabs, difficult for me to come up with an apples vs. apples comparison. It's obvious that this year the Focus picks have done better lately, and in total. I remain convinced that the +130dogs will do well when all is said and done. I'm not as convinced on the Focus picks, although they look like world beaters right now. I wouldn't anticipate a significant sample size of the Focus picks to have been made until some time next year. Tough to commit when that size isn't quite there.
Looking back to last year though poses a problem since I believe that I made a change to the algorithm that picks the Focus group and I can't seem to find my notes as to when that occurred.

So just as a heads up.......starting tomorrow I will stop taking the +130dogs. As a matter of fact, I will be taking the flip side of the +130dog pick, but only for a single unit since this is the first time that I am trying this strategy. I will be doing this for the next 30 to 45 days and will then go back to the +130dogs. This is a little sooner than I would have expected, however I've had a great run on the +130dogs lately and today's win will make it 4 consecutive winning days on the dawgs. It may go 5 but I doubt it. We'll see, but nonetheless it's time to flip.

thanks for heads up, will you still monitor the 130dogs as a side data stream? l understand tactical changes but would be a shame to lose so much info over the long term / re short term 30 days , not so much as to look at it as a could have, should have hindsite situation but to have an constant data stream of results re130s that you can look back on in 2yrs time and say this my average result on 130 dog then focus selection, then the flip side selection etc as stand alone results etc. then maybe do a bit of mix an match etc, l mean you already have a few years data to draw on that we do not have or see, at least not the same way you crunch it . Alls good no matter what result. look forward to more selections. thanks have fun.

Yikes, you really are stepping out into a different looking model now. As I'm sure you already know, those flippin' dogs you've now ordered to go stand on their heads are some heavy favorites by MLB standards. This will be interesting for me to watch, just as a spectator, because I'm now a stranger shipwrecked in a foreign land with no clue what language is being spoken to summon these newfangled gymnastic pooches wearing big minus signs. I don't think I've played a moneyline favorite in baseball in at least two years, or if I did in some special case it was surely something no more chalky than about -110. Good luck.

I hear ya. It's just that the pattern to +130dogs has shown that they suck for about 45 days at this time of the year. So my choice was not to play the game at all, or to flip to the other side. I chose to take the other side, but just for single units, in order to test whether these would be profitable. The dawgs come back around mid-July. Nothing new. I had stated that this is what I was going to do at the very beginning of the season.
