Website(s) for Vegas Sportsbook Lines

| RPToro Member since: Apr 10, 2010 Threads: 7 Posts: 67 | I'll be in Vegas next week, and I'll be putting in a few NFL & NCAA futures bets for myself and some friends (friends are giving me $$ to do it for them). Are there any good websites that list (with relative accuracy) the current Vegas lines for the various Sportsbooks? Thanks! --RPToro |

I use that site everyday. However, they don't indicate odds on futures bets. It's not whether you win or lose; it's whether or not you had a good bet. |

Too bad they don't have futures though (# of wins for season, division winners, etc) This may be a fairly simple question, but when I read the line for a game as (-3-110), does that -110 apply to BOTH the -3 and the +3 bets? In other words, does that mean I put up $110 to win $100, regardless of which side I bet? --RPToro |

Yes. Both sides pay the "vig". Note that the winning side gets their 110 back + 100 for a total walkaway of $210. |

I have read the Wizards pages on sports, but I am still a bit confused, how does one know who to bet on, or what kinds of bets are there? The horse racing Win/Place/Show was an easy bet for me to understand I did this at Golden Gate Fields near San Francisco. I bet $2 for the show and got paid a big $2.25! Yay a quarter! Sports betting is something I would like to get better at. |

When you go to a sportsbook, find lines that are different than what is available elsewhere. Either line shop a bit around town, or, more easily if you have a smartphone, go to Pinnacle and find out what the line is offshore and bet the side that is different. For example, say the Bellagio is offering the Jets -6.5, but Pinnacle has them -7 (admittedly, an unlikely scenario), you should hammer the Jets at the Bellagio. If you take it seriously, you can and should figure out the Kelly Percentage of your bankroll to wager. |
