Legit?

Google UIGEA. You might want to check out the Interstate Wire Act of 1961 while you're at it.

He said legit, not legal. I guess they could mean the same thing. Maybe he meant to say reputable?

I have never had problems with bovada or 5dimes.

lol i just want to bet and not lose my money unless my team loses.

so bovada is legit but not legal?

how much have you bet online?

and since we are talking online... i find it crazy people play online poker and craps how is that possible? how do you trust it not being set up? i rather just roll the dice with my own hands or see the cards dealt in front of me

but i wanted to bet the mayweather fight and my bookie was mia
and i went crazy i was desperate to make a bet and was trying to use online sites. but i didnt know if they were legit or legal

so im asking you guys are there any legit sites and are they legal also... so bovada n 5dimes are legit... r they legal ?

Based on what you've said, I don't think you should be playing at online sportsbooks. If you won't listen, then Bovada or 5 Dimes are probably your best options.

I was about to say sports betting online is just as legal as using a a bookie but I don't think that is true. I think sports betting somehow violates the Interstate Wire Act or something like that.

Some legal experts will say that wire act could not be used to prosecute individual bettors because the word "wire" when written meant a telephone or telegraph line. Since there are millions betting at online offshore sites and because of legal ambiguity it is very doubtful that a small fry would be targeted. Here is what the FBI has to say - basically that they are going after providers of this service. As far as I know a lone individual making bets has never been charged with a crime. http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2007/june/gambling_060607
