Of all the Superbowls I've always regarded the third one as the most important. Why? Because that was when the AFL showed it could beat the best the NFL had to offer. Mind, the merger of the two leagues had already been agreed on, but it looked like an even better idea if the AFL was on par with the big boys.

Question is this: assuming there were organized sports books at the time, in vegas or elsewhere, did they lose massively on that game? I don't knwo wat the line or the spread were, but they must ahve favored the Colts by a great deal, meaning any bet on the Jets would pay a lot. Anyone? Thanks.
