Just wondering, what would happen if you were participating in an individual bonus while the group bonus is initiated? Also, if you have just come out of a bonus round you wouldn't have placed a bet for a while, so you may not get credit if another bonus comes in the next 40 seconds. Interesting concept though, I'll have to try one of these.

if you're in an individual bonus and a group bonus is triggered, your individual bonus is effectively paused while you participate in the group bonus. Different games handle the bonus differently, but usually there's an increase in the community bonus "clock" for a player when they enter the individual bonus. Also, there's usually an increase in that clock when the player exits the bonus. It isn't perfect, but it tries to offset the negative impact of not betting during the individual bonus.
