Okay so one of my favorite games at my local casino is the Press Your Luck Big Event, I have done very well on it a few times and it seems to be the most consistent paying machine in the place. Anybody know if they have these machines in Las Vegas? I am looking to make my first trip there and would like to know if they have that machine see if I can get a better payout in Vegas on it. Also if anybody plays this machine often, (Im sure I am goingto get hammered on here about this, lol) have you noticed any kind indication the machine presents as to when a Big Event will hit?

So heres the deal and its not some kind of your goingto win millions or its sure fire its just pretty consistent about 8 times out of 10 it works. For those of you unfamiliar with how this machine works there are 3 machines linked together each with there own separate in game bonus and the Big Event bonus which involves all three players if they are eligible ie. have enough time on their counter and playing with the feature activated. When a Big Event hits randomly each player is eligible for a prize times whatever multipler they are at multipliers go up by how high they are betting and how fast so lets say a maximum bet starts you out at 10X and a minimum bet 1X which is the way it works your bet increases periodically based on how high you bet and you keep time on your clock also.

So this is what I have discovered or noticed rather, when playing if you involve 2 players other than yourself the machine becomes more likely to trigger Big Events, that being said there is somewhat of a glitch to that. If you have two other players with you have them bet low preferably minimum and you bet slightly higher lets say 5X if you keep your eye on their machines or have them do so, their machines will pay very periodically and not very much at that but...when their machines begin handing out multiple wilds and pays that are about 3 to 4 times their bet consistently lasting 3 spins, the person betting at 5X or all players should raise their bet to maximum and keep it that way for about 15 seconds betting as quickly as possible raising their multiplier. When the machine starts paying like this a Big Event is usually not far away. Now I am not sure if this is just the one machine here locally that behaves this way or if others have noticed this as well, I may be crazy but it seems to work for me I am mostly just posting this looking for anybody with info on these machines in Vegas.

You should be able to find information on its locations and operation at the WMS site since its their machine under license from Freemantle Media.

Some casinos have slot finder sections in their website. For Harrah's/Caesars' properties, I think they have a global slot finder for all their properties.

Hopefully, being a LONG way from other options, people will spare you for the slot play:)

Yes, you should do better in Vegas than you do in other places. Within Vegas, the farther you are from the strip, the better the odds are for you.

I have also noticed that multi-line pays seem to preceed the community bonuses on these games. I'm pretty sure thats one of those things that just seems that way without it actually being so. But it also occurs to me that if it were by design, it would almost intentionally lower the multiplier for some players. For example, rapidly pushing "repeat bet" at max will get to about 40x after a loss, 25x after a win, and 15 or 20x after a big win. It's funny, but the big event always seems to follow a big win.

Ya I got no other real options way out here in BFE lol, there are VP machines but they seem to do far worse then the slots at my casino. The multipliers on our machine also doesn't go up nearly as fast as that unless you are already in the far reaches of playing max bet and the only time I have ever seen it get above 30X was when I hit an in game bonus the multiplier jumps way up for a few seconds then cruises back down quickly, I am just hoping Vegas is way better then locally. I have traveled to a few other casinos fairly close by but they are all tribal operated as well and one of the larger ones in Couer d' Alene usually does pretty good just get out while your ahead.
