Went to the casino tonight put 8-10 20's into various machines. mostly played $1 slots but played $40 worth of 25c machines. The highest thing I hit was 5 credits. The best run I had was on a 3x 4x 5x machine and went from $20 up to $50 by hitting a few 10 credits on 2 credit bet. In the last 3-4 times I been to the casino, the highest thing I have hit was a 3x 5 credit hit maybe once. I got 30 credits on a 2 credit bet was my best in about $800 worth spent. I play mostly the machines that show the numbers and play a lot of 97.xxx% payout machines how the hell can things be that bad? wouldn't you stop with things this bad. I wanted to stop but I don't want to go out a looser.

You need to stiffen your resolve there, krava.

Last week you posted: " I took my players card and threw it down in the middle of the place and walked the hell out. I have had enough."

No, you haven't had "enough."

Yet.
"What, me worry?"

what are you talking about you think you're playing a 97% slot? What makes you think you're playing such a machine? You might as well start trying VP Krava. It's not that hard.

By now you must know it's impossible to beat a non banking/progressive slot machine unless you have something SIGNIFICANT extra given out by the casino. barring any of that that there's no special system that will overcome the house advantage.

Instead of wasting your money all the time on slots you should save it. Then visit the casino often looking for progressive Must Hits or Quick hits that are +EV. I don't know how many you'll find it's probably going to be rare but at least you'll be playing something positive. If you do that long enough eventually you will profit(it could take a long time to profit).

If you're not willing to do that then quit complaining and realize the fact you'll keep losing and oftentimes you'll lose rapidly. You can go many spins on a slot machines without a payback many slots are feast or famine, rarely feast.

I know this is anecdotal, but the people who win on -EV slots are the people with money having fun who don't really care all that much. Guys who are desperate to win never do. And even if you did win you would just piss it away eventually, plus more.

It is thinking like that that leads to thinking like this:
"I can't stop now...but I'm short on cash; oh well, I'll just 'borrow' the money from my next mortgage payment, and put it back when things turn around."

I wonder how many people in, say, Gamblers Anonymous got there because they "just couldn't stop chasing losses."

Remember that terms like "97% machine" can be misleading. Here's an example of a 97% machine: a $1 slot where you have a 1 / 1000 chance of winning $970 and a 999 / 1000 chance of losing.

Remember that terms like "97% machine" can be misleading.

Drich claims all higher limit slots are 97% (-;

The misleading part is the fact that someone actually thinks 97% is a good thing in the first place. Meanwhile he's losing $65 to $80 an hour at best. Slots can be fun and there's nothing wrong with playing them responsibility, but it doesn't sound as if he can afford it, nor is he having fun, nor is he doing it responsibility.

It's his life and his money to waste on what surly seems to be a building addiction.

97% slots are meant to appeal to people with 97 IQs. They often have big signs on top of them advertising how "loose" they are. Sort of like a hamburger stand advertising its food as less unhealthy than the other guy's.

That is one reason I look on comps as the Royal Navy looked upon Grog. Pomp, Circumstance and its advantage is not in distributing it but in withholding it.

So if some host is toying with my Grog ration... I just fade away and don't make an issue of it.

Its teh same way with signage and advertising of slot machines, its deceptive and inadequate and its best to just make your decision and if Lady Luck doesn't respond walk away without any bitter regrets.

Quick question. I have no problem understanding when a "must hit" machine is a must sit down and play, but on those various quick hit machines, how do you know when it's a good time to play those? I haven't played them in the past, so I don't have a feel for what the payoffs look like on the various progressives when they are over the average.

Thank you in advance.

went again today. Took $100. was going to go just to play the 25c machines and see if I can get anything over 10 credits. I witness someone getting 4x 3x 7 on triple times pay for $1200 another person triple red 7 triple for $3,600 on $1 machine. Old guy with a cane up to $2,900 on the $1 5 credit machine. He played for an hour atleast and stayed where he was most of the time, didn't go down much or he hit something again when I looked. My ass. put $5 into triple red hot 7's. Out of 10 spins I got a 1 3x symbol for 2 credits. Next machine the triple cat machine $5 0 credits hit nothing with 10 spins. Put $20 into double triple star 7's and got maybe 1 all 7's for 5 credits. Cashed out $10 put it into a diamond haywire machine and hit the highest I hit which was 3 bars for 10 credits per coin. I hit 2 more cherries and that was it the whole game there. Went to 3 coin 25c triple hot 7's got 1 any 7 for 5 credits and maybe a 3x symbol once. Then moved to 3 coin double triple stars, hit 1 all 7's for 5 credits and nothing else. Went to $1 machine 3x 4x 5x put $20 in saying I wouldn't get a damn 1 credit. On last credit hit 5 credits (any bar). Then played it out and lost it all. Then went to another machine like it. hit one all bar and then 1 4x symbol after putting $30 into it. Bascially 90% of the time I get 0 credits and when I do get anything I get a damn 5 credit hit. This is what has been going on for the last 4-5 trips now. The highest thing that I got in 4-5 trips is 15 credits per coin and that was because I got lucky enough to hit like an any bar with a 3x symbol on the line. I see people (more then average) get to play the machines up and down for a bit. I get in there and it takes everything I have from the start. it is like Nothing, nothing nothing x10 then smallest hit, nothing 10 more times. smallest hit again. how the hell can you come back from that? what the hell is going on? I put my players card in the machine all the time. I was WAY ahead of the casino a month or two back and now I am getting killed.. Are they seeing I won alot and now trying to get back at me what the hell. My track record is if I even hit 50 credits I get off the machine and stop playing completley.

Slots are designed to take money off players and to get them addicted.
As I see it, you have experienced slots that are behaving as designed. You too are behaving as planned.

The casinos KNOW that they will make some money out of the slots and will not end up losing and having to go bankrupt.
Your track record is that you feed the slots and somehow expect to be a winner. Can't you see any contradiction there.
Psalm 25:16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Proverbs 18:2 A fool finds no satisfaction in trying to understand, for he would rather express his own opinion.
