I went to the casino tonight and I was suppose to watch but instead I played. I played the top dollar $1. It took me putting $65 into it to hit the bonus. I put $20 $20 $5 and $20 on 13 credits left hit the bonus for $65 on the first offer and took it. 2nd game I played was $5 triple hot 7's 1 credit at a time. 4-5 credits in hit 3x various 7's and got 15 credits and cashed out. Then went to my double top dollar. I put a $130 voucher in (the original $65 was now $130) no bonus. then $100 no bonus, then another $100 and then 17 credits left hit Double diamond double bar double diamond for 100 credits. So cashed out with voucher at $560 and seperate $3 one. I was now $300 or close ahead and that is what I lost last sunday at horseshoe trying to get the bonus on the $5 machine. I didn't want to lose for the 4th or 5th time in a row and stopped. I watched someone lose $1300 in a few minutes playing the same double top dollar I was playing but at $10 a pull. He was up to $900 (he got the bonus quick twice). He lost that and more money being a greedy ass. I saw someone play the $25 double gold and threw god knows how much away. He got up to 40 credits several times and lost it all each time. I watched someone hit a hand pay on $5 double gold. (I think $2000) and then basically throw it all back into the machine. How greedy can you get?

I got off subject anyway but now I am home and I am like "normal" i don't feel good or nothing. I am happy I didn't lose my ass for $300 or so on the $5 machine but the $300 win didn't do much and there is like almost no satisfaction. Has anyone felt that? Is it time to quit for awhile or what? I have seen alot of people in the casino playing games and they look like they are $500 up or whatever. Atleast you don't start out with 500 credits on a $1 machine and they just keep going. I guess it is how far you live from there. If you are 200 miles away you might want to try to win more then $300. While I was there I saw someone hit $8000 on $10 double gold (not sure how much he put in but he sounded like he was playing it all night after he said "Finally". I saw another woman hit $8000 on $100 machine (or atleast she said she did with just $100 in the $100 machine) she also hit $2000 on the $25 double gold rather fast and I saw her do that atleast. I think if I hit $1000 I would be happier though or atleast a little excited. What about you people? $300 doesn't do anything either or what?

and what stories have I made up? I have the picture of the 100 credit thing I hit. I have pictures of atleast 6-10 top dollar hits 500+ credits I did. I can take a picture of my last w2-g $1700 but block the name out. I wish I had 20 post so I can do it. I typed a big thing out and it blocked the entire URL out this time. msg me with the email address and I will email the pics if you don't believe anything I say. I am going to try this again. g you have to put the www, the picpaste, and the infront of the/ thing to see it. It was taken by a samsung phone. From what I hear they should have a gps location stamp, time stamp etc on it. I have no idea if it does or not but I didn't mess with the properties. This was done by me at around 10-11pm central time at eldorado.

I am in preview mode and everything I tried to post is cut out somehow, msg me if you want a picture if you don't believe it.

Please explain the terminology for +EV and -EV. What is what? isn't everything -EV? I am not sure what EV even means but I have seen it used here alot. It is Negative Equality? (misspelled the word I know). Looked it up and EV means expected value, how can anything in the casino be +EV??

The only thing I find more boring that playing slots is watching someone play slots.
No. Tell a lie. Reading about someone playing slots is more boring than both.

Back in the day, when slots had reels and there was just one win-line and bog simple features, and they paid out with the real ching-ching-ching of coins dropping out, Well I used to find them mildly amusing. Then I grew up, poorer and wiser.

Modern slots with their god knows how many lines and their autoplay and bells and whistles for every 25c win and not even the satisfaction of shiny coins dropping out. What's the point?

-EV is negative expected value.. You are mathematically destined to lose.
+EV is positive expected value: You are mathematically likely to make a profit from what can be known about the state of the game.

Most machines are massively -EV most of the time.
Some machines are slightly +EV for short periods of time under certain limited circumstances.

Eat good value food, drink free drinks, play blackjack. laugh and banter at the table, occasionally win. Slots are not for me.

It was better last night. I think the most exciting point is when the bonus comes up on the $5 top dollar game. I was there watching the game for an hour or so. One lady put $400 into it before it hit the bonus and it hit 25-30 credits and then she hit it the next spin after that for another 25-30 credits. Then she continued to play, lost all that and another $200 she put into it. I sat down and these 3 guys that were pretty durnk kept asking if I was going to play the game and I told them I wanted a little more money to go through it before I played it. One of them gave me an offer to "go in" on the game. I put $100 they put $100 in and told me to take all the spins. I am not sure how many spins in I finally hit the bonus and I couldn't get anything better then 35 credits and then I told the guy to take the last spin and he got 30. I told him I am "out". He looked shocked but I told him before hand. I want 1 bonus and I am done. he told me that the last woman hit it twice. I said that doesn't usually happen. Anyway cashed out $255 and made $27 (which is nothing). He ended up handing me $127 of his own money and putting the $255 back in and lost it all with no bonus. Even though it wasn't much of a win, It is pretty exciting hitting the bonus on a larger denomination game with just a few credits in it.

I then went to top dollar $1, ended up putting 4 or 5 20's into the thing before I got the bonus once. The bonus gave me $30 and I got the hell off of it. I think I am done with $1 version of top dollar. Then I went to the $5 machines put $20 in 1 pull at a time and nothing then put the $32 cash ticket from top dollar in and nothing. Went over to triple 4x 5x 6x because of how much money you can win on that thing. You don't have to hit the top hit to do good on it. There are atleast 6-8 options and still pays out $2000+. I am bias against the $1 machines since the highest I have ever hit on that thing was 15 credits per coin. I put $20 into it and played $2 at a time. I hit a 10 credit one and then got a 3x 7 7 for $300. I cashed out at $326 and now was $200 ahead or a little over. I went back to the $5 double top dollar and looked at it and chickend out over it. $200 over is still a decent win for me. Nothing great but good enough to walk out saying it was a winning day. Also 3x 7 7 isn't easy to hit. I didn't want to hit that and then come out a loser.

I did feel pretty good coming out. I guess a 300X win feels better then a 100X win. I think I need to play the machines more one day. My average "play" on slot machines each time I go is way less then an hour. I got on the 25c triple red hot 7's and lost 3 5's before I walked out. I wish the 300 would have counted up slower made it sounded more like a win though. I swear that machine went from 0-300 credits in 3-5 seconds if that. That thing was on speed. It didn't take its time adding up or anything.

I'm surprised your casino allows the voyeurism in their high limits and somehow the machines you play are set good enough to induce a delusion you're able to believe in. I'm serious about that, because if you were around here, I don't think you could keep your faith. You seem to not be doing too bad, but would have similar results playing for 30 minutes a trip and leaving without even bothering to predict "good" times to play. It is possible some people feel they can even plot good times to play truly pathetic machines. When I first started playing I remembered only putting in $40 and quite a few times hitting hundreds, but now I don't even believe it's likely to even hit a few hundred after losing a few hundred until closer to a thousand. Do you feel you have a chance in every casino Krava or just certain places?

there's nothing more boring than playing single line 9/6 VP. Perhaps playing $5 and $10 blackjack or baccarat would be about the same.

Video slots are very fun especially at high limits. There's more slot opportunities than you think. Making decisions is over rated, because you're really not making decisions on games like BJ or VP there's a right way and a wrong way.

If you want a game where there's way more decisions and more than one way then poker is your game.

To be honest, I feel that I have a chance everywhere I have been. If you don't feel like you have a chance then why even walk into the place? I have only been to Sams town, Eldorado, Horseshoe, isle of capri in lake charles and I went to coushatta which I lost my ass from the start there. I didn't see any handpays last night but saw quite a few friday.
It is a slim chance and most likely won't win much. What people do is that they get greedy and get several hundred ahead and then lose it all. I don't go casino to casino. I go to eldorado because I need to lose there so at the end of the year I can try to avoid the taxes if I lose enough. in the past 2 days I just added another +$500 to the win list. I don't believe there is a good times to play. To me it is all about luck. When we talk about something with a bonus game., then it is some luck and how long ago the bonus showed. I would rather jump on a bonus game when someone has thrown $500 into it and not hit the bonus then starting fresh. Also watching the games lets me see how things are. I have yet to ever see anyone ever hit 2 high double top dollar bonuses in a row. I haven't seen anyone get any close to what bonuses I have gotten before (except youtube).

I have to agree on your point about you saying that you don't think it is likely to even hit a few hundred after losing a few hundred. That is why I limit my loses at $200-$300 and walk out. I also don't play the penny machines. I have seen the payout on those things are very low. They might be fun but think about how much it cost just to manufacture the game such as Buffalo gold compared to a standard 3 wheel machine.

Another reason for watching what is going on is to see how the machines are paying out. Is anyone winning anything. If you see something like 10+ people throw away $2000+ and never hit a handpay then well you know it would be a stupid idea to even try to bring that much money because you will most likely lose it.

I haven't watched much of video poker but from the payout table, It looks like it takes a really really good hand to get something that pays out good credits. I want something I can get atleast 40 credits or something which to me is a little decent hit. On video poker I think that is like 4 of a kind. I haven't played poker in over 20 years and forgot alot of it. Like does a full house beat a straight etc? I could figure it out in a few minutes but I have forgotten alot of how to play it. VP is a game that you can play a long time on before you lose though I understand that. THe ones they have here you have to get Jacks or better just to break even money. I think 3 of a kind only gets you 5 credits.

Here are a few wins.
From Last night: http://www.picpaste.com/pics/20160910_231558_resized-Zcju2vI4.1473655081.jpg
http://picpaste.com/pics/20160910_232009_resized-ZQ2Hiyvt.1473655235.jpg cashed out after hitting that thing. I only put $20 and got that. I got 10-15 credits at first lost one pull and then hit that next. It was within 4-5 spins. (I posted the cash out ticket to show I didn't walk around taking snap shots of other people's wins.) It isn't a big win but the biggest $1 3 wheel slot I ever hit.
http://picpaste.com/pics/20160909_203157_resized-6QfUcbSb.1473655434.jpg Was done on Saturday with $330 in $65 in credits left after the hit. It is biggest hit I have had non bonus on a $5 game.

http://picpaste.com/pics/20160817_015803_resized-2inxmtJH.1473655564.jpg handpay exactly almost a month ago. I got 50 20 10 5 x2 x2.
http://picpaste.com/pics/20160827_030900_resized-g3XQthOb.1473655683.jpg Hit at sams town on 2 pull after $20 inserted. There was a girl playing the 3 credit version and she wouldn't get off the machine she was on. After 30 minutes I asked her has anyone played that and I forgot what she said but I sat down put the $20 in and hit the bonus on 2nd spin. I think it was the 3rd spin before I got that. When I got that she was watching and almost fell down at what I got as she was pissed. I did this about a week after the handpay one at eldorado. I was on a bad losing streak. I lost $300 at coudshatta (really $390 if you add everything up). I lost $200 or so the day before that somewhere else.

I am not sure but I think these are 2-3 weeks old. I hit several high things on the 25 cent machines. I walked out $200 ahead. I forgot to take a picture of one of the hits that was in the 300s.

http://picpaste.com/pics/20160731_025551_resized-0MpTYf1C.1473656311.jpg
http://picpaste.com/pics/20160724_022026_resized-WPNKSLcl.1473656444.jpg

Now the week of the Double top dollars. I got 1 each day for 4-5 days. I believe the first one I didn't take a picture of and was 520 or so:

http://picpaste.com/pics/20150718_020401_resized-0wD4Ht0q.1473656550.jpg
http://picpaste.com/pics/20150726_022106_resized-mNL05HEc.1473656588.jpg
http://picpaste.com/pics/20150730_042656_resized-g8jEB0YD.1473656708.jpg

Ended up losing all that the following week doing this and that. Atleast I think I lost most of it back. One of those 700's cost me $200-$250 just to hit it. I had to go through 3-4 bonus rounds. All 4 from that week I hit before having to go past 4 bonus rounds. That game is no longer at eldorado, they pulled it.

its 12 midnight and I need to get up there for an hour or two to give me something to do. Will check back later.
