In doing some research into UTH strategy, I've seen this WofO Two-Player Power Ratings in Texas Hold ’Em table quoted as the baseline for determining the 4X Pre-Flop bets. It maps very closely down to the 50-51% Win percentage, but it has an interesting data point where a hand with a higher % (9/T suited) did not made it into the strategy, while others with a lower % did not.

Here's some numbers pulled straight from the table. I've highlighted the 9/T suited example I gave above.

3/K suited 52.07% 43.96% 3.97% 8.11% 0.30% 34.54%
9/T suited 52.38% 44.32% 3.30% 8.06% 0.30% 34.84%
8/J suited 52.31% 44.28% 3.41% 8.03% 0.30% 35.14%
Pair of 3's 52.84% 45.45% 1.71% 7.39% 0.45% 35.60%
6/Q suited 51.68% 44.45% 3.87% 7.23% 0.30% 35.90%
8/Q unsuited 51.93% 44.73% 3.34% 7.20% 0.90% 36.80%
5/K unsuited 51.25% 44.63% 4.12% 6.63% 0.90% 37.71%

There's other 50%+ hole card pairs that didn't make the cut too, but this is the highest % example.

Can someone help explain the math/formulas that went into the determination of the 4X strategy and how 9/T suited did not qualify.

I'm educating myself on the math/numbers behind the strategies and I have a lot to learn from the folks that have expertise in this area. Your input and assistance is greatly appreciated.

I dunno but you have to compare the return of 4x vs return of no bet till next decision

I have to admit it seems odd
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

This has been discussed before, if you search you probably can find the thread.
Basically the reason some of those hands are not 4x
Is because it turns out they are worth more by waiting for the flop or the river.

Thanks. Yes, I've been reading through those. I'm really looking for the formulas and math behind the determination. That's what is elusive.
