I put in all the stuff about etymology and the Spanish translation. It takes a little while. Wine loved I deeply, dice dearly -Edgar, betrayed son of Gloucester in King Lear |

My first impression was the Bodog brand changed over to the Bovada brand, probably for legal reasons, and was folding up the US tent altogether.. |

To do what they are doing is kinda like making a statement that they have no intention of folding, or being shut down. My first impression was that they are doing all the right things to work as legally as US law allows, but have made this move to isolate the US portion of their business, just in case the D.O.J. decides to shut them down anyway, even temporarily. Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown.
But how much does it cost to knock on wood? |

It makes perfect sense, actually. The DOJ shouldn't be able to shut down Bodog anymore, meaning that all of its non-US players can keep going. However, I don't think the assets in Bodog are protected just because it split. That is, the DoJ could go after the parent company's assets (but not shut down the bodog website). -----
